We must be mad... That black lab that needed a home...

Quick question for anyone still around...

We sleep with our bedroom door open and Harvey usually sleeps somewhere in the room. When Buddy arrived, we tried the same, but he was up and down, in and out, and upstairs, downstairs, and it's tricky to get him to go somewhere, as in, if he's on the landing, you can't yet send him in to sit by the bed so you can close the door - he just sits and stares at you.

We tried closing the door, to keep him in, and that helped - think he felt a bit more secure. He slept more (although I think he's a light sleeper in comparison to lazy bones Harvey!) and we were also less disturbed when sleeping. We're now all getting very hot at night though, despite windows open and radiator off (heating's not on overnight anyway). At what point do we open the door again...?

That's not a bad idea Pearl... Good to hear yours don't jump gates Clodagh (indoor ones anyway ?). After me asking, the door was accidentally left open last night and he wasn't too bad... I can't believe the change in him in just a week - he's really starting to pick up how our household works. Today we had a bit of off-lead time on our walk and he was very good.
