I had taz out jumping this morning, and usually he is much better jumping on grass than in the school, usually he is off your leg but he still doesnt really get the bouncy canter to jumps to get over them, but he does but I have to ride more as if we are going XC rather than doing show jumping :S and i dont want to look like a muppet when we do our first proper show BS(JA) with all these horses that are built to jump and I go in with taz, an ID with a more XC style approach to jumping, im just too much of a wimp to event and feel its too soon as he's only 5 and only been XC twice.
any tips on how to get him more bouncy and a bit more prescence/oomph to him would be very much appreciated. He's well balanced in the school and jumping, and gets fed speedi beet, hi fi lite, and oats at the moment, he is also fit as he has to be as we do common riding all summer
