A lady on facebook was looking to re home an older great dane, she'd rescued 2 of them from appalling conditions. They were both starved to the point they had no fat and very little muscle left on them, they were covered in sores and their claws were so long they were curling under :(
I've seen the pics and it was heart breaking.
Anyway she re homed 1 with a friend and due to her terriers being horrible to the 1 that was left and not allowing her near the humans ,she needed to find this other girl a home too.
There's still a bit of work to do as she's needing more weight put on and more work on her claws. Plus building up her exercise to help get more muscle back.
Even after everything she's been through, she is an absolute sweetheart :D
The lady brought her over to ours today to let us meet her and so she could check our home and check us out and she left her here with us :D
So here she is, we've named her Star, she is about 6 or 7.

oh don't worry slinkyunicorn I will bore you with lots of piccies from now on :D
CAYLA she is generally gentle, but her and Storm were having a play earlier on, Star was waving her paw at Storm and then suddenly whacked her over the head with her hoofing great paw lol you heard the 'smack' and Storm said 'ouch' in dog of course :p So she is trying to be gentle but typical dozy great dane forgets how big they are.

LOL she's had an even bigger great dane come to stay when she was 8 weeks old and after 1 day of being unsure of something so huge, she decided he was worthy to be played with, sat on and cuddled up to.
She's about 6 or 7, the lady who rescued her isn't sure TBH. She's going to my vets on friday as she last had her vaccs god knows when, so the vets going to check her over, vaccinate her and also give us her guesstimate of her age. She has lovely teeth which surprised me :D
 
Lovely old lady! My dane likes to use her paws alot, waving, punching, breaking eggs! She will rather use her paws than her mouth.

Awwww :D lol
This lady seems the same, she doesn't try to bite or nibble the pup either, she just shoves her with her closed mouth or smacks her with a paw lol The weight of the legs might well be more lethal than the teeth TBH :p
