A totally pointless post but I just wanted to share my happiness :D

I had some rugs that I wanted to donate to Mountains Animal Sanctuary through my vet practice so I though I would get fatty weighed while I was there.

It was our first trip together in the lorry and Jerry was very good (apart from refusing to load on the return trip  so big thanks to the two guys who helped shove him back up the ramp :o )

So yes.. we should be all set for hunting on Tuesday - bring it on :D

great stuff :)

I can't wait to get out in my new trailer, but I'm snowed in :( can totally understand your excitement at getting mobile :D

Oh so it's your fault that the white stuff made an appearance...;)

I fear it may be :( Within four hours of picking up my most beautiful, treasured posession we had six inches of snow. And it shows absolutely no sign of budging either. there is a good three inches of it left and more coming tonight

:D for goodness sake don't send off any advance entries for anything or it'll never go away!

ETA - surely you mean your second most beautiful treasured possession? you can't love a trailer more than Nitty!

I may also have had an entry in for Keysoe that may be the reason it didn't clear overnight like it normally does round here! :( :o :D

I do love it more than Nitty! I love my clippers and my trailer more than I love BH so she should consider herself lucky! :D

Well done B_M. I now know who your vets are too, Tim was my horse's vet for a number of years :D I followed him when he set up his own practice!

I do like Tim :) One of the other vets though the muppet might have a spavin (lame on hind legs and failed a flexion test) so I managed to get a lift and off we went to Turningdale Farm where the silly horse trotted up sound

Luckily Tim thought to check his back - he had pulled his sacroiliac pratting about :o
All of the vets are really lovely :) We've had a few emergency call-outs since Jerry moved (honestly, who is allergic to bloody baby shampoo????) and I can't fault any of them.

I managed to find:
2 LW t/o (one only worn once)
2 summer sheets
1 MW stable rug
3 fleeces - one still in the bag! :o
2 head collars
1 leadrope
2 big likits
6 mini likits
1 large tubtrug and
1 bag of alfa beet for Mountains Animal Sanctuary and I've promised them the rest of Jerry's rugs when Dad replaces them over the summer :D

He's so spoilt (and I have a rug addiction :p )

I do like Tim :)

That's an amazing amount of stuff! Did you see the thank you you got on their fb page?

It was years ago when I used Tim, he was at a local vet practice and then set up on his own so I and a lot of other people followed :D He was absolutely brilliant when the ginger horse fractured his splint bone, and he also held him at a couple of shows when I walked the course before  :D

ETA mine is allergic to baby shampoo too, must be a ginger warmblood thing

Yes, I did :D
Jerry is quite spoiled
My dad doesn't help: "I'll replace Jerry's rugs when my donkey comes over" - ermmm why? so you can buy two of everything?
I think he secretly feels sorry for Jerry, who has to go out in a lilac rug :D

I'm so glad it's not just my idiot horse that's allergic to baby shampoo - that'll teach me to spend £2 on shampoo and about £100 on the bill for an after-hours emergency call out
