I'd hoped to post this on Sunday on my return from our first outing at a Dressage show but I'm currently ensconsed on a course up in Harrogate (Hello to any HHO forumers up here!!) and this is the first chance I've had to land on a computer.
I'm such a proud mummy as we did two classes and came third in both with rather good marks and lovely comment and most importantly we survived! One score over 62% and the second over 63%, ok so it was only a walk and trot and then a walk trot and canter but we got through it without any explosions or major problems, other than being extremely tense (horse that is not me!).
This is the horse who notices everything even helicoptors flying miles away, different coloured leaves and god forbid should he see a bunny! So the large dog lurking in amongst the show jumps did me no favours and nearly scared poor Wills to death but we still survived.
So 'poo sticks' to all those who doubted I would ever succeed with taming the loon and his career begins!!
So looking for more parties to go to in a couple of months when his canter is properly established and we can play at some affiliated prelims.
