I currently have a rising 2 yr old, although he was very late foal and is only 15 months old, and a rising 3 year old pony cob. They are turned out on 13 acres with another 15 month old and another rising 2 year old. I'm going to look at a weanling tomorrow. Would he be ok turned out with them? They are all 'nice people' and get on really well in their batchelor group. They are all entire at the minute but will be gelded at the end of this month, with the exception of my rising 2 year old who will run on until the spring.
The current youngsters are all under 14hands, the pony cob is the smallest at 12.2hh. The weanling currently stands at 13.2hh, so they arent huge youngsters!
Would the weanling be ok? Hes only ever been turned out with his mum and hes obviously that bit younger than the others.
