I recently had an accident with my horse on the road. I wear hi viz but am now thinking of wearing a camera. Can anyone recommend one? Do you wear it on your hat or attach it elsewhere? Thanks for any input.

Be careful with the very cheap ones. I got one and when I plugged the blooming thing into my USB on the computer it blew the motherboard ?

Chilli are a reputable UK company, the really cheap ones on ebay from China I agree with you might be risky but my tech support (very experienced) can't understand how the cameras I buy would do that to a PC.

It was a china ebay one. I then had a long and fruitless exchange with them until I gave up.I thought it had just blown the USB port but sadly when I took it in it couldn't be fixed.

I wear two of these, one back one forwards. There are even cheaper ones on ebay that work well too but they don't come with all the velcro hat mountings.

Thank you! I always assumed the hat camera's were £££££, so never looked into them as I don't really ride on roads but have always fancied some footage from our rides, as we ride in some lovely places.

I had a cheap one from Amazon. I bought a universal fitting kit that had all sorts of attachments. I tried the body harness but found the hat strap the most stable.

I have a Ghost XL. It doesn't use the standard GoPro fittings, which made the helmet-mounting kit more expensive, but it has six hours battery life which is about four times more than I managed from either of my GoPro knock-offs. (I have no idea what the battery is like on an actual GoPro.)

The cheap ones record in 5 minute files, I've no idea why. You might find that annoying, I only use mine for security so I don't mind it.
