Hi,

This may have been asked before, but who actually wears their Country/Yard boots as a fashionable day to day boot?
Do you or would you wear your Durbarry's for example to a day out to a no horsey event?

I have a Fireworks thing coming up, and been umming and arring about getting a pair of "Country" boots anyway for when I teach, but then thought, I could use them as a casual boot also (as long as they are clean!!)

Also anyone got the Criollo Long Country Boot?

Meeeeeeee but I am very uncool

I spend waaaaaaaay too much time in my Dublin River Boots!! I have worn them on plenty of days out (went to a country park last week in them for a family picnic), obviously to horsey events, to the supermarket, and i always were them when I do event photography, take them on hol etc etc. I basically have to be forcefully extracted from them because they're so comfy!

I think they would be fine for fireworks, I haven't been to fireworks since I bought a pair but normally wear hiking boots and snow gaiters to fireworks so River Boots would be an improvement!

I do think it is funny sometimes though, know one lady who doesn't know one end of a horse from the other who can regularly be seen poncing around in her ariat grassmeres with her white jeans..........

I think wearing country/yard boots is fine if you try to look like they and you occasionally use them for their intended purpose!

I wear my Tuffa Suffolks everywhere although tend to clean off the grease for special occasions! I also make sure they are mud / muck free if wearing them anywhere indoors like a supermarket

I have worn them everywhere - Burghley, Alton Towers, the local fair, cinema, frankie and benny's for dinner a couple of times and even wore them to work one day last winter (I work in an office!) when they were still almost new!

Yes I have no shame, sorry

Shopping/dog walking/horsey events (well outdoor ones) and I've even worn them at the office on dress down Fridays!

Although there not DB's...I'm a tight so and so and a known boot wrecker so I bought a pair of Ryedales at a snippet of the price but everyone always compliments them and there still going strong to this day.

oooo they're nice! shame they're a size 4

If I had a pair I would wear them all the time - I practically live in my UGG boots instead at the moment, but as soon as they break I shall invest in a pair of dublin river boots or dubarry's and join the sheep and wear them everywhere

I have to admit I have worn my new ones for non horsey activities! I also have a pair of riding boot style knee boots that zip up the inside (so clearly not for riding) but look like riding boots. Can't go wrong over jeans or leggings!

Might start wearing my hat too.....

I have a pair of McGellan & Malloys, bought from Chatsworth when everyone started having Dubarrys - I wanted to be different.

I wear them everywhere and always get people looking and asking me about them. They were worth the extra money I paid for them and have lasted really well.

I like to have more than one pair one for best then when they start to get scruffy use them for round the yard etc and get new pair for best

I also like my jallatte riggers for rough work you carn't kill them and there very comfy

Ariat boots under jeans no matter where I'm going and Ariat clogs with denim skirts etc (the pointy toe ones not the round toe).

No one turns a hair, the only comments I've ever had are to ask where I got them from.
