yep I wear a tweed quite a lot in the autumn/spring time when you need something warm but not a proper winter coat. Pretty sure people think I'm a snob as the town I live near isn't exactly the nicest place, but they probably think that when I wear my fur coat as well !! haha

Depending on weather I wear with skinny jeans or a skirt then a blouse or a roll next jumper or if a bit more chilly a shirt & v neck jumper & if chillier again I add a scarf :)

It is gorgeous - lucky you!!

Like kassieg, I pair mine with black leggings / skinnies - with kitten heel ankle boots - or a short pencil skirt, black tights and brogues. A lovely crisp white shirt looks great underneath.

The model in the Joules link looks great with the casual jeans she has on.

Of course, a lovely scarf always finishes an outfit, especially during the 'transitional' seasons (autumn and spring).

I have the very same jacket. I wear it with skinny jeans boots / ballet pumps, a nice top underneath and maybe a scarf. It's great for days like this when you maybe need something extra but not a proper coat. It's the human equivalent of a 100g turnout!

I've worn mine with casual jeans, boots (short ones, knee length ones, smart ones, battered ones...) or flats, and a vest top/blouse/shirt. Silk scarf optional, but I love scarves :)

Turning up the cuffs to show an inch or two of the lining also helps with the 'casual' look!

I have a few tweed show jackets I wear with skinny jeans a shirt or roll neck and long leather boots, a nice matching silky scarf also looks nice, 7 love the joules jackets they are lovely lucky you.

I am very grateful she has bought me something so nice! Letter of thanks is in the post as we speak!

I have a couple of nice shirts/blouses so might see what it looks like with those, thanks everyone!

I have a second date tonight with a guy that's into horses so I don' know whether to wear it or not! I don't go on dates often haha

Well I'll give everyone a little update!

Went quite well I think, we seemed to have lots to talk about which was good! We were in the restaurant ages and they had to ask us to leave as we were there so long, oops!

He was a gentleman so hopefully there will be a third date!

I lived in an old Harris tweed jacket when I was at university. Usually worn with a rugby shirt and my college scarf. The latter probably looked a bit 'rah', but was much needed in the cold northern winters.

I recently picked up a really nice one in a charity shop, and will be using it as my smart winter coat this year. There's nothiing warmer or more comfortable.

I used to wear my 100% wool tweed showjacket regularly to work - well I paid over £100 for it so I wanted to get a bit more than a dozen shows per year out of it. I find you can wear them with almost anything. Interestingly, the people who commented on what a nice jacket it was were all men.
