Weather extremes!

Sitting here enjoying the sun and this lovely weather we've been having got me thinking how do we cope in winter months?. To imagine now it would be dark, freezing and more than likely raining/snowing is really depressing yet somehow we manage it

Because as horse owners we must be slightly deranged.!! Its funny though, the bad weather is a very distant memory..

Winter months are buried right at the back of my head and i'm in denial that they actually happen !

Temperature dropped to 16 degrees (in the sun!) and my mum complained it was too cold

Because every year for the last 4 decades I try to keep an image in my head of the warmth and the sun with the swallows chattering ... and of the summer coats and the beautiful green trees and hedges ... and then try to replay it in my brain on the third cold, crappy muddily wet Wednesday in February ...

And because I know I must be crazy as a coot to keep doing it 24/7/365.
