Was flipping channels earlier in the day......... all that was coming up was (surprise, surprise) "the weather".

But I THOUGHT I heard, dunno which channel (think it was Sky actually???) where the guy was saying that next week's forecast was still for low pressure BUT that it wouldn't have the intensity of this week's weather.

Did anyone else hear this??

Not that "low pressure" is good, coz we'd all love to hear the words "sunshine" and/or "high pressure", BUT at least if next week is a little bit of respite without such an intense ferocity/maliciousness factor to it, that's a bit better, innit???

Somebody PLEASE PLEASE tell me I wasn't imagining this? Did anyone else hear this???

yes I heard that next week wouldn't be this bad too...they said Friday would be bad again then next week is currently looking to return to 'normal' february weather...hope that is good news and they don't mean we might get snow!

Oh thank god for that then. I didn't imagine it (i.e. it wasn't the gin:)).

I wouldn't be doing cartwheels just yet. What I heard was that 'between now and then', there's likely to be another month's worth which would be 3"-4".

There will I feel quite certain, be those who are broken, and seemingly beyond repair. My heart goes out to those who are suffering.

Alec.

First of a line of 3 storms to hit today, more to come,

I dont tend to listen to long distance forcasts, things can change so much with our weather,

I feel so much for the people on the rough end of this, be it a roof leak or you home etc flooded, I complain about living on a hill when it snows, but nothing compares to what some are experiencing :(

The weather forecaster for BBC said yesterday we can't expect much change for at least three weeks so a run of storms from the Atlantic will be coming in over the next month
