Weatherbeeta Thermocell Rug

Do people recommend the weatherbeta thermocell rug?? The reason I am asking is that I really want to get Max a thermatex or equivilant rug for the winter. However from all the reviews I have heard nothing can beat a thermatex, but I realy don't want to spend full price on one as I can put the money to better use, due to that I have only been looking at ebay and the likes. However I have just seen a WeatherBeeta Thermocell Rug, New, for £40. Do you think I should grab it? Or do you think I should wait and see if I can pick up a thermatex at a reduced price??

I have both - got ALL my Thermatex rugs off Ebay, but it's a gamble/wait if you don't win. I also have the Thermocell... It's a decent altenative, but doesn't come up anywhere near as big as the Thermatex. Unless you have a blood weed, get a size bigger than you usually buy as Thermocells don't give much.

Robinson's Country Leisure have certain sizes on good offer atm - be quick!
 
love my thermocell - I have 2 . does come up a bit snug but fits my 16.3 id x well in his usual size for weatherbeeta. also have a coolex and think thermocell better. also can get them much cheaper - got both of mine half price in sales.
 
I would love a thermatex, however he would need a 5ft3 - he is usually a 5ft6 in weatherbeeta turnouts which have abit of room. So the 5ft3 hardly ever pop up on ebay saddly. But if you know of anything ;)...

So would you recommend a 5ft6 in the thermocell ???

brighteyes - I've got a blood weed, and am getting a thermatex. Do they come up big, then? He fits snugly into a 6'6 Rambo, and I wouldn't want it any smaller, really.

op - yes i would go for same size as weatherbeeta turnout. think thermatexs do come up a bit bigger and grow a bit more as well.
 
Brilliant. I would love a thermatex, however his sizing just never pops up - think I've seen 3 in his size pop up in tha last 10months. I may be getting the thermocell instead then :). Thanks for all the advice.
