Im trying to find the cheapest weatherbeeta Tristar 3 in 1 rug, has anyone ever bought anything from Millbry Hill its one of the cheapest I can find, or has anyone else got a better website??

i got mines from derby house last year in a weekend sale however it turned out to be useless never even lasted a full winter i still have the under rug and the neck cover parts of it but the actuall rug part was soaked through after three nights out in rain and that was brand new with added proofing spray on it and it tears stupidly easily

Ahh right, maybe I wont get one though, can anyone recommend any other brands?? I want to try and be a economical as possible I have a stable rug that will fit her but need turnout rugs and thought that this would be the best option?

My friends horse lived out in his all last winter and it was fine, didn't leak at all. He was pleased with it and horsey stayed warm and toasty too

I am not a fan of weatherbeeta - we had one years and years ago, it was crap! I bought one last year for my old pony - it was a high neck one and I thought maybe they would have improved their rug making skills by now. Sadly no. It's ok but it slides back far too much and the lining goes all funny.

All our other horses are in Rambos and I love them! Have you tried looking at Amigos for cheaper alternative?

I love Weatherbeta, they are water proof and long lasting. I have about 5 for Cappy, the only rug that is better is his Mark Todd extra heavy, but that was also a lot more expensive.

Weather beta are great for fitting him as well, he is in a 7ft rug but has fairly narrow shoulders.

Horse has got a tristar on at the moment, just the outer with neck attatched, and is toasty warm and bone dry under it. Impressive considering it's rained pretty much constantly for a week!

I got mine from an ebay sell (can't remember who) do had them on a 'best offer' price - got two for #105 each

AS for fit - they're different from all the other weatherbeetas I've had - they don't have the shoulder cup freestyle bit but instead have a well placed vent/dart thingy. Fits my horses much better than the freestyles.

This is my second winter with 3 Tristars and they are all doing really well. None have tears, which is a miracle with my lot, the hood is easy to take on and off and when i't's on it stays on, and I find the under rug really helpful and stays in place.

My friend has one and loves it, it's now going into it's second winter with no probs-I'm currently looking at buying one for my girl

Just wish you could get the american colours over here!

Must admit, noticed my Weatherbeeta Landa rug is coming apart this morning. It's only been used 10 or 11 times. Stitching is coming undone along one of the surcingle strap where it attaches to the rug. I'll sew it up before tonight, but what a pain. Makes me think people are right to say, avoid them. Sorry "Masta" but I speak as I find.

Landa are the cheapest of the brand (although that might be saxon - are they also WB?) and it shows. In fact I think they are one of the cheapest rugs on the market. They're ok but no-where near the quality of the Tristars.

If looking for a 3-in-1 style rug, then really the only comparable alternatives are the rambo (£250ish) and the Premier Equine (£220ish).

I have the PE version and I think it is quite good, but very heavy even without the liners. It came with the outer (100gm) plus two liners and 2 neck covers so is very adpatable. The Rambo comes with only 1 liner and the neck attachment - you need to buy the others separately. My horse has a stupidly long and cresty neck and the Rambo neck was too tight on him, the PE one fits quite well.

It might be the cheapest rug on the Planet (which it wasn't) but IMO a rug which starts coming apart after 10 turnout sessions lasting 5 hours each isn't fit for the purpose it was sold for!

To OP: Millbry Hill online are selling Tristar's this weekend for £114 this weekend with FREE delivery - £114.00 Tristar

Even I'm tempted at that price! And a great company to buy from online. I've been using them monthly for a couple of years and they deliver prono quick. PS: Just bought TWO! They'd better be better than the Landas, that's all I can say! LOL.

But at that price - wont care if they only last a winter.
