Weatherbeeta warranty?

I am feeling a bit frustrated. After sending off my old weatherbeetas with a loan horse in May 2021 I bought a Weatherbeeta no fill comfitec dynamic for my big shouldered cob. Fits her nicely. Have gone for the liner systems.

I’ve not washed or reproofed it. It’s done part of one winter. Used intermittently. But it’s just not waterproof. She is getting absolutely soaked in it. The fabric is soft and becomes so heavy as it soaks up water. The sides and tail roll up not helping the wet getting underneath. But it is also soaking though.

My other mare is dry in her Rambo but I’ve not found a Rambo that fits this mare. Optimo? But I don’t really have that kind of cash. I’ve never had this problem with decent rugs before.

Has anyone claimed on the WB warranty?

Back to our old Shires highlanders.

I did claim yes and easily got my money back. I’m not sure how old mine was but they paid me back and I got to keep the rug, which did as a dry cold weather spare.

They should offer to replace or refund for the sides rolling up.
They probably will tell you what they told me in regards to waterproofness which was that they basically don’t expect the rugs to stand up in anything other than light showers and that any seams (like where all the straps are sewn in!) are not waterproof at all
When my rugs die I will not be replacing with Weatherbeeta! They used to be a name in good rugs but not anymore.

For the record it was a top of the range rugs not one of their cheaper 600d!

Id think you'd struggle. Theyll probably say you cant expect it to stay dry in a real downpour. Ive had the odd cruddy rug in the past (including a Horsewear very expensive one) which leaked terribly.

That’s all very disappointing. What is the point of them if they are not waterproof! This is their top spec rug.

I am going to give it my best shot and I will report back.

I claimed mine under warranty and sent me a brand new one
Mine was a buckle problem so a new one did perfect but if it’s not waterproof I’m sure you’ll get money back
