If a stallion was registered with them as a point to pointer a lonnnnngg time ago, would it be possible to find him without knowing his registered name?

Thanks for any help....possibly a very stupid question, but please be kind

What do you mean find him?
Do you mean you are looking for him, or that you know him and want to know his name/breeding etc.
Anything over 8yo and it gets bit tricky to trace them without no other details.
I would think it odd that a stallion point to pointed tbh, and would wonder if someone is spinning you a line.
I think you may need to find out a bit more info before trying Wetehrby's, even the year/area he raced would help narrow it down a lot.
Perhaps try asking on the point to point forum - there are a lot of people on there with very long memories - wouldnt be surprised if sopmeone remembered him (esp being entire).

It is purely out of interest - he is at the yard I am at now, but I just wanted to have a look at his 'records' if they keep that sort of thing online for people to see?

Bearing in mind his age, would it have been possible 22 yrs ago for a 3yo to p2p? Don't know the minimum ages for p2p nowadays, but they might've changed since then?

Last year they dropped the minimum age to 4yo, I assume for the first time.
Put a post on that forum and see what comes up.
