Hi Guys
just looking for some advice my mare has always been a bit highly strung and when stressed has weaved this is not something that she does all the time, or when she is bored so i have would never class her as a typical weaver that you see constantly weaving at the stable door for the most part she is settled in and out, but of lately she seems to winding herself up more, especially in the field where she will weave at the gate getting herself really wound up its distressing to see her like it but little seems to be able to distract her. ( this started before the big freeze so i dont think it is that)
She is sound and fit and healthy in every other way
Has any one had a horse like this or any suggestions welcome as its so upsetting to see her like this (ps she has company all the time so never left out on her own)

Anything changed recently? Does she get on well with the other horses in the field? Could it be something in her feed making her stressy? If its out of the ordinary then maybe do a mental run through of everything in her life to see if you can find the trigger. My old mare used to weave (usually started when she heard my car arrive) and its very frustrating and quite distressing as you say.
