Weaving in horsebox

My horse doesn't weave at all except when travelling, he is fine when engine is off but really sways the box when moving . I travelled with him today and he was slightly better when I stood by him but was almost in piaffe if I left him.
We bred him and he events and is hiper and is worse if he travels often[he travelled on Thursday to his lesson and it took well over an hour each way]
He hates a stable mirror [ our other horse loves his] so don't think one of those will help and we can only put a small one in the head partition anyway.He is better with another horse but then is a nightmare when seperated at a show ,so went for his lesson with another but not to shows.
Last time out BE his dressage was lovely[25] today at 2 day event he was very 'well' and rather tense[40].Got to travel back to there tomorrow any advise

What about whitewashing the windows ,do you think it might help if he can't see out?
 
It is a horsebox and the partitions are sideways so don't think I can change it but he used to have no partitions in our old box and I think it was better then.But our other horse needs a partition.Problems
 
Hi, my horse does exactly this too! He even arrives with a bit of blood on his nose where he has weaved against the walls of the lorry. I have tried all sorts and nothing helps - it's just the way he is. I also found the more I stand with him or fuss over with him the worse he gets. I have had to learn to live with it im afraid. If you do find a cure please let me know.
 
Hi, I had this problem with my mare. I bought 3 different horseboxes and she was still the same. She would only weave and paddle with her front legs when travelling and not at all anywhere else. I tried taking out all the partitions and let her loose to see what she preferred to do. She wouldn`t settle.
I travelled her in a magnetic rug, fed her calming stuff and put calming smellies around where her head was, and they helped but what helped most is buying a trailer. She is brilliant in a trailer and travels quietly. We worked out that she doesn`t like being shut in but likes the trailer as it is open. We guessed this as one time when we arrived back from a show, hubby decided to shut the back top doors while she was still on, - and she started rocking, weaving etc.
It was the best decision we have made (to buy a trailer)as I lost out on so many shows in the first 2 years. It is so stressful for us as owners when the horses are stressed.
