weaving

im thinking of buying her but to bring on for a few years so will probs be selling in the future. it doesnt bother me, just interested to see what others think

My boy weaves when he is left in and gets a bit stressed, its not very often but Im not bothered by it. Mind you I wont EVER sell him so I dont know how it would effect his price.

As long as the weaving wasn't too bad it wouldn't put me off buying. But yes I think that you would expect to pay less as it's a vice.

We have a little race horse at our place that is being rested for the summer. She came in to have her feet trimmed the other day and I have never, ever seen anything like it - that I wouldn't buy

I used to have a horse that weaved really badly - I put a mirror up at the back of his stable (he did it facing the back wall, not over the door) and hung loads of toys up for him and it did help a bit. If the horse only did it a mealtimes it wouldn't bother me and horse prices vary so much, all you really need to do is put 'weaves at meal times, hence £xxxx' and no-one would know whether you had reduced your price or not!

Do watch for hoof balance though, as I believe a combination of poor hoof balance and my horse weaving was the cause of her navicular syndrome, and that box rest consequently made it worse not better.
