WEC and time of day

Does time of day collecting poo sample for worm egg count make much difference? Just seem to remember reading somewhere best to be early morning poo but can't do them till later in the day

To be honest with you I have not heard this, we do ours when we muck out first thing and then take it to the vet for them to check. They have never asked what type the sample was taken or have they ever suggested a time to do this. I will be interested to see if anyone else can help you. Have you ever been told that you should do this by the vet or company that you use.

Previously I used to WEC mine at same time as a local livery yard's WEC and send them all off together as sometimes my guys when there for holiday livery. I was always instructed by YO it was to be early morning poo. I am now using Westgate and they don't specify a time. Just wondered if there was a reason to the morning poo advice from the other company?
