Wedding horse

Absolutely fab, he's a lovely boy and to have dealt with all of that - kudos to you and him :D I'd love my horse at my wedding, but the first comment I get from anyone who knows my pony is, " there's the bride arriving, oh, and the bride has gone past and is quickly departing." I get the feeling it wouldn't work :p

With mention to the hat - if you were serious about going into business, how would that go down with insurance?

Aw, what a gorgeous horse and bride! He truly is a stunner and your obvious pride in him just shines through your post. Have to declare it brought a tear to the old eye! Happy day!

Gorgeous horse, lovely plaits and a beautiful setting :p what else could the bride have wanted?

A riding hat to squash her beautiful wedding hair and ruin her photos, it seems. ;):D:p

Not wishing to offend, just a light-hearted response... This is one time anyone would definitely be forgiven for omitting their hat! :)

Absolutely stunning. What an absolute star of a horse, he must have made is so special for the bride. Love his plaits, very pretty.
How is Tiger doing, that's a horse i would have loved to have.

what lovely pics :)

one assumes that the rider survived the day? ;) in which case I will congratulate her on her excellent risk assessment abilities and all is good :) :D

He looks gorgeous and how very kind of you as a friend to sort all that out :) Clever Monty :)

My mumbles wore a dress based on a side saddle habit when she got married (didn't ride to church though) and I always planned to wear it too. But then my step aunt threw it in the skip when my stepfather died.

I should find a picture. It was lovely :(

THAT is a proper family. Beautiful, beautiful picture.

Beautiful :D and the bride isn't bad either ;)
He looks stunning, love the plaits.

Can't imagine wearing a hat on my wedding hair either.
If you went into business, would you have to insist that people wore hats for insurance reasons, or would it just come under personal liability of the person on him

Lots of polos deserved all round!

Stunning pictures and well done you for giving the bride her perfect day.

I have never been a TB fan but your boy is definatley swaying me!

Just shown my 6 year old daughter the photos, and she just has one question....

, how the heck did she get up there with that huge dress on ?'

Now this is the real question that needs answering!! :D

Lovely pictures - in present climates it's amazing the bride wasn't wearing flippers and setting sail in a canoe! Fab horse. :D

There was a well placed wall and she was able to hop across from it, she was also blessed with being very agile (unlike myself!) Monty is great and will happily stand nice and still.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I am just so proud of a horse that I considered having put to sleep last year due to his arthritis and other issues as he seemed to be struggling. He means the absolute world to me.

What a lovely person you are to do this for a bride. Your horse is such a good looking chap and he looked so well behaved. I used to be a wedding photographer and also did equestrian photography and needless to say the weddings that involved horses were the best of all!! Well done, your horse is beautifully turned out and is a credit to you. Lovely setting too.

Many years ago (about 1973) I kept my old lad Bamber at a yard which had a clubhouse which someone used as a wedding reception venue. The bride came and asked could she have Bamber in some of her photos. :) Of course I was delighted, and he was a very pretty and good-natured chap so was unfazed by all the fuss.

We took far fewer photos back then and I have precious few of Bamber :(. I wonder where those photos are now. Somewhere, there's a wedding album with some photos I would now dearly love to have copies of. :(
