Further to my other thread which i cant change the first post pics - ive started this with better daylight pics.
The weeds are long - 12-24 inches, hollow stalks, very golden straw coloured mostly - ive managed to photo the tops of the main weed i have.
There’s a ‘stripy sheath’ at the nodes at the top - this sheath also has a slender branch at the top about 2 inches long with a leaf on top. Thats really distinctive...but not when youve got no idea!....hoping someone else will recognise this? The sheath has what look like dried dark petals coming out of it - so maybe its a purple flowered tall weed.
The tops are also darker coloured stalk than the main stem, and they are slightly ‘hairy’, whereas main stem is smooth.
Also i’ve included the yellow flowers i found - this is a different weed to the other pics - hardly any of it in the hay, but just curious with these better daylight pics if others can say for sure what they are.
