My horse paddock must be 95% buttercups. I've just sprayed half the paddock with Depitox and most of the buttercups are now curled up and gone yellow in colour. I have waited 2 weeks, but I am worried if it is O.K. to put my mare back on the treated half. Does anyone know if it's necessary to remove the dead plants and leaves from the field or is it safe after 2 weeks to allow the horse back on. Will horses eat the dead plants.

I'm having my field sprayed for buttercups and thistles, I've been told not to graze it for 4 weeks but I'm not sure yet which weed killer the farmer is using.
