Weeing help!

Ok peeps I'm beginning to lose the plot! My six month old Springer dog keeps on weeing, well sort of spraying when I try to do anything with him, first thing in the morning I can understand as he may have a full bladder and I believe it may be a subservient thing but howdo I stop it?
Whenever I bend down to say hello, give him a bickie anything where I have to go down to him and he wee's, I try not to lose my temper but of late it's very difficult as I mop one up and yey he does another, Help!!!!!

puppies just do that im afraid out of excitement and it is something they grow out of. telling them no doesnt seem to help as they dont really seem to realise that they are doing it. he's just so excited he's gonna wee himself!

Agree with Kat-g this is normal in puppies/submissive dogs.........try not to make a fuss of him when you arrive home do not bend over him....this can re-inforce dominance or cause over excitement, do not over excite him, just let him out...when u try to approach him and he shows signs of rolling over to squirt.... immediatley turn away from him.....and dont give any eye contact.........only treat or praise him when he is quiet and settled to reward this behaviour........and dont over do it a quick stroke under the chin and slip him a treat....DO NOT LOOSE YOUR TEMPER.........this will make the problem 100x worse.

You must be consistent in this approach....as must everyone in the family.

Try to think of the situations he shows this excitment/submissive behaviour and alter your body language as above.

Most puppies grow out of this and it can be breed specific.......as his bladder muscles are still very weak at this age......he is less able to control the urination.....just be patient.....when he begins to crowch and turn over to pish

walk away.........he will soon associate no attention with the behaviour.........always allow him to approach u and not the other way around.
Try getting on your hunkers instead of bending over him.....face him side on and not face to face and stroke him under the chin......when u want a little stroke time but dont over do it just quick then up and walk away.

our springer was the same around that age. he is nearly 14 months now and only does it if a fuss is made of him while he has a full bladder. we did the same and didn't make a fuss until he had been for his wee, and when visitors came over i would ask them to ignore him as such until he had calmed down, then they could say hello. has worked well so far, and hardly ever does it now.
