Forrest has been really wet in his stable over the past week or so. He's never drunk much when stabled (6pm-6am), maybe the equivalent of no more than half a bucket per night and he's not drinking anymore than normal at the moment but his bed is soaked come morning. Probably 4 times the size of the normal 'wet patch'.

He was on antibiotics last week due to an infection so I did wonder if it could be this, any ideas?

I'm speaking to the vet soon anyway but was just sat here thinking about reasons as to the cause

I was interested to see your thread as I too think my horse has been wetter in the past week/ 10 days.
He hasn't been on any drugs at all, so it can't be due to that. Unfortunately we have automatic drinkers so I can't be sure exactly how much he is drinking, but there has definitely been a change. He came in and had a long wee the other afternoon and then I worked him for only about 45 mins and when we got back to his stable he was so desperate (will not wee on concrete) that a bit squirted out as I was taking his brushing boots off!! I put him in his stable and he flooded the place!
I am going to see how he goes and maybe ask YO to shut off his drinker so I can monitor his water intake.
But if anyone else is noticing the same then maybe it is a change due to the time of the year.

Looks like its catching! My pony is 10 days into a months box rest, and he is weeing every couple of hours ( is this normal?) he is on 2 x bute a day, and drinks about 2 buckets of water a day, could it be that its turned really cold!? or the medication!? Any one know?
