Oops very late today šŸ˜‚

No big plans this week, not even bothered to fire up the Equiniser app yet lol!

Probably hack a couple of times, maybe school & possibly look at an arena hire if we are feeling ambitious (unlikely).

Anyone else doing anything nice this week?

I had to check today was a Monday! I’m still off work (school) and living on mince pies!
Today - short and sweet 45 hack, some progress, like standing quietly whilst a 4x4 passed feet away and also no napping today, but had an atrocious pacey trot at one point.

Tomorrrow - day off
NYE - longer 2 hour hack with a pal
NYD - going to a local small arena for a play
Friday - day off, farrier coming
Saturday - solo hack planned
Sunday - I’ve enquired about a local RC polework clinic and just waiting to see whether there’s spaces left, so we’ll see!

I am still recovering from the hunt ball, I am trying to eat all the chocolate in the house in one sitting to 'get it out the way' and I have no idea about anything else...however I managed to back the youngster this week (rising 4). OH wasn't keen on Christmas Eve of me clambering on it as I think he was afraid he would have to cook Christmas dinner for everyone if I got decked...

I haven’t done anything today as took my visiting nephews out for the evening to a Christmas fair thing after work. K however decided to jump out his field and proceed to gallop around the yard for 40 minutes refusing to be caught šŸ™ˆ This is usually a sign I am being a bit slack on working him as he gets a bit… ā€œferalā€ when he’s not kept busy so I shall crack on

I’ve booked a lesson for Sunday and I am aiming to get him ridden or lunged every day until then 😬

Day off today, that she used to ruin the field the YO is allowing them to have as a little treat while its dry-ish. So back into hardstanding tomorrow for the little goblin. Wasn't enough mud in there so she made her own

Hack the rest of the week! A groundwork/ in-hand pole day for whatever day I least feel like getting up off the couch.

Thanks for that @KikiDee . Not just mine being a handful today! šŸ™ƒ

Sympathies!! Glad it’s not just mine that got a very damning ā€˜school report card’ today!! šŸ™ˆ

I'm a bit confused by the day of the week 🤣

Monday: Day off
Tuesday: 1 hour hacking
NYE: Supposed to be an interval hack but the weather scuppered us so we did a 45 minute interval session in the school instead
NYD: 1 hour 15 hill work hacking

The rest of the week depends on the weather, looking at the forecast šŸ™ˆ

Mon - off
Tue - school , very well behaved
Wed - school ok
Thur - school , not great the drop in temperature is being felt!
Fri - day off as I’m back to work
Sat - local clinic weather permitting, it’s indoors so just need roads to stay ok.

I'm totally confused as to what day it is!

Schooled at home on Tuesday with some polework and a few jumps just to keep his brain occupied. Need to have a think about what bit I'm using this year - jumped in the snaffle rather than the elevator on Tues and he was taking me into jumps a lot better.
Hacked with a friend Wed around her farm. He felt a little bit tight behind which I thought was perhaps from the jumping, but at the end it was obvious my saddle had shifted back. It had done it the day before jumping, but I put it down to 'one of those things' whereas a bit of W,T,C around my friend's farm shouldn't have caused it to budget. Only refitted 3 weeks ago so need to have a chat with my saddler.
Day off today (Thurs) but uploaded my e-riders videos because the deadline is tomorrow and there is snow forecast so no more filming chances. Really not the best tests and I'm a bit gutted we've ended up in 'Open' rather than 'restricted' due to one test pulling my top 3 scores over 69%. Our canter work isn't good enough really and I ride in the field so we are a bit slippery. Keep trying to remind myself it is about feedback and progression rather than prizes.......

Not really planned the next few days as the overnight temperatures are really dropping and if we end up with a scattering of snow then it'll be sheet ice.

I could have done something tonight but it started raining as soon as I got out of the car so even though it stopped, I was already wet so I didn't. If everything is frozen now for a week I might regret it but I don't right now (parked back on couch)

Our lesson went well on Tuesday.

Didn’t hack on Wednesday as my daughter was up in the night so I didn’t much sleep 😓

Went on a 1 hour hack today. He was much more forward than usual and quite spooky. A tractor came up quite fast behind us, he was too busy looking for monsters in the hedge so didn’t notice it until it was right up his arse at which point he cacked his pants and tried to tank off down the road with me. I couldn’t pull him up so turned him into a hedge to stop him then had to turn him in small circles until he calmed down. The bloke driving the tractor was oblivious to it all and was talking loudly on his phone šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« 5 minutes later some pillock in a big SUV came flying past us so close, if he had spooked we would have been straight into the side of the car, fortunately he had calmed down by this point and didn’t even blink. Think I might invest in a hat camera!

Planning on 30 mins schooling tomorrow before work, the arena is right next to a giant greenhouse and it’s meant to be very windy here tomorrow, so we’ll see how it goes.
