Anyone?
My weekend started this morning with sj arena hire (indoor!) having been invited by 2 RC friends to join them.
What bullies! I ended up popping 80 fences, whereas my comfort zone is 70 these days. B and I are perfectly capable of 80 or 90 but I prefer to be lower and sensible as she can get a bit wild when they go up. Needless to say B moved up a gear happily and belayed all my previous concerns ?
V good B ?
Probably just hacking over weekend as big family meal Fri night, plus no local events on!

Whatever you are doing, hope you all enjoy x

Llany got scuppered for me on account of running Sunday not Saturday ?
So I'm hiring a box and taking Bon and a friend for a play round the xc at smallwood. Bon will mostly be conveyance for me while I teach tbh but he can skip over a few logs as well

Enjoyed watching the rain this morning and hoping it means we might be able to do a wee bit of fitness work in the field this weekend. And continuing that on Sunday with a longer hack round cholsey for both boys. If the ground is softer we might even be able to get out of walk, whoop.

Had an awesome lesson last night on Bertie. We’re working on getting more hind leg activity in the trot (blimey) and working on accuracy, ahead of a dressage test in a few weeks. All very encouraging and I’m really pleased with the continued progression.

After an exhausting beach camp, we have very little planned this weekend, especially as we are back at another camp next weekend!

He is having new shoes for the upcoming camp but when they wear out, he is having shoes off and a longer break as he is a baby and has surpassed all my expectations.

Oh Red please tell me it’s the unicorn one as that would be epic!?! I land in Gatwick at 5am and will have the horses loaded ready to go by 8am ?

No horsey plans this weekend. If I’m fit, a hack on Sunday. Been a couple of hacks this week in Tali’s bareback saddle pad and it’s been great fun. First time I’ve cantered bareback since I rode Peggy Sue 15 odd years ago.

I’m wedding dress shopping for my cousin tomorrow across the water and then Saturday I’m doing a 12 mile run on one of the north isles. I’ve really only been doing 5k’s this year so I may fall apart over 12 miles. ? but I’ll give it a good shot.

have a good one everyone.

All weekend plans cancelled because Blue colicked last night. 'Only' a mild spasmodic colic, but she felt bad enough to be extremely cuddly and affectionate, which is always a sign she's feeling rotten! She's back to her usual grumpy self now, but she's having a good few days off until I'm happy she's comfortable to work again.

She knew she was meant to be doing a dressage test last night and colicked on purpose, I'm sure of it.

Going to attempt long reining the ginger one tomorrow morning, then anther short hack on Saturday. He feels so good, was perfect to get on Monday and yesterday, not an ounce of tension, and that was with no lunging beforehand yesterday! New saddle got the green light from the saddler on Monday too, so fingers crossed we're heading in the right direction now!

No, Active Rider. Although I do have a pink fleece glow-in-the-dark unicorn mattress cover, if that counts? ?

Still can't get a lesson so was pondering Wellington HT at some point, especially given some of the horses in the OI/Advanced (if they run...)

Tiny bit annoyed I've not had my free tickets (not a one off thing, had them a few times), every little helps with fuel prices at end of the day, and when it's only £8 cheaper than Blenheim prices... :(

Not much in terms of riding - Belle had steroids into her stifle today so will have a few days off, and Shambles is on hacking duty after having a short break.
But I do have a weekend of dressage writing. Saturday am at Wellington Horse Trials writing for the 2*, which will be interesting as never written for eventing dressage. Was a little worried at first that it would be a bit too high level and would come up thick and fast, but have read the test and it's basically novice/ele level.eans I can then spend the afternoon watching the xc.
Then Sunday I'm at sparsholt writing for the area festival.

Pippity .. hope your mare is ok
TFF . Those sound like my kind of friends . Bet you had a blast .

Our weekend started today with a quick trip to the vets . Pips 60 day scan . It never fails to amaze me , how in 60 days it’s gone from a black blob to something resembling a horse . Vet could see legs , spine and even the muzzle . I could just make out the spine and heartbeat .
Tomorrow daughter is arena eventing and Sunday taking the yearling to a local inhand show .

Good luck everyone and have fun ?

Jump lesson Monday, but bar that, nothing much horsey at all! I withdrew from llanymynech with the 5yo as he went so well at Frickley last week he earned an early start to his hols.

Instead I'm off to watch the Manchester pride march tomorrow and I've got some music gigs and things to go to - totally not horsey!

Ohhhhh. I just realised it is Bank Holiday Monday this weekend, and yes, we are actually doing something!

We are entered in BH's first ever barrel racing competition!

I thought it may entertain him! Plus no stuffy clothes necessary!
If we weren't going to Hope we would be going to YEC to watch it sounds like good fun.
