For the first time in years and years I can actually answer this post with a yes! I'm competing. Only doing a very local and low-key dressage test (walk and trot and prelim 4) but it's our first outing together and he's just a baby (4yo) so hopefully it'll be quiet enough to keep us both calm.

Saturday we're having a mini-Trec competition at the yard, and my aim is to get him over the tarpaulin in one go.

I could feasibly come last in everything i do this weekend but I'm very excited anyway. Getting out and about and coming last still seems better that not getting out at all. And after all, I've had plenty of practice at coming last in years gone by

Stressful weekend for me moving the horses

It's a good excuse though to sort everything out, do all the washing, cleaning, tidying etc that needs doing...and then out to Cardiff Saturday night for a friends bday

Hello M'dear - you really are not too far from me know....we are at MK SJ'ing a a few weeks, if you are free I'll let you know and perhaps we could meet up.

All well with us - the boy & I are going gung-ho SJ & Dressage over the winter as we start Intros next year. A XC ban has been put on as thats our only good phase but I snuck out last week and did the open at a local venue and got placed. Also managed a few SJ ribbons recently so perhaps we are finally cracking our bogey phase.

A is ok, the baby is 7 1/2 weeks now and she was back in the saddle 6 weeks to the day after her C-section.....she even came XC with me last week!

You sound well.....I've obv missed a post because I've not heard about Winston! How are the "W" plans coming along?
