Lincoln Christmas market with a whole gang of us! My house will feel it Monday!

[/ QUOTE ]

I am very jealous - used to go to uni in Lincoln and the market was fantastic. Have a Baileys hot chocolate for me!

ahhh Nats this will be my first time as never managed to go before!!!!! Great to have somebody say it's good!!!! We have recently moved to the area.
Out of interest what did you study at Lincoln? Was toying with the idea of going back to uni!

Studied Bsc Animal Management & Welfare at the Riseholme Campus - was good. The equine centre there is nice as well.

My friend studied Forensics at the main Brayford Campus and she said that was fantastic.

Just wrap up warm and wear flat shoes! It's really nice and a lot of the shops stay open til late - recommend a little bookshop on the cobbled steep hill up to the castle - you can get lost in there! It was lovely being able to see the castle and cathedral at night.

Hacking tomorrow morning and schooling Mr Schmoe.... Visiting friend I haven't seen for 4 years tomorrow afternoon... doing horses tea time and then yard christmas meal!!! (With plenty alcohol)
Saturday hacking and schooling with a hangover - when alcohol worn off, drive other half to airport!
Sunday nothing planned so ride and pick up other half from airport!
interesting life!!

Weekend starts tonight with Christmas party, will be highly debauched if all goes well
wink.gif

Saturday Frieda the Freelander has to go to the garage AGAIN as she's making a funny noise. I think she's trying to get me together with the yummy mechanic by developing reasons to be taken in!

Holly Jane, good luck at Bluegate - you may well get lost, it's the twistiest little route ever to get there! But does seem a lovely venue.

Sunday I may be dragged kicking and screaming through the rain to help SOMEONE steward at the Foresters dressage. Although McTor can you please check it's definitely this weekend?! You definitely said a couple of months ago that it was the 16th!

Hope today went well at Addington.

lol!!!! Amazing! I am interested in the Masters and Phd in animal behaviour at the same college lol!!!!! Problem is I did my first degree yonks ago and apart from a very keen interest and minimal experience, my first degree was unrelated, I am beginning to doubt seriously I would be accepted!
Thanks for all the info on the market and next year do feel free to join the throng here and come along!

Sat - I'll hack both boys & prob get very wet!
frown.gif
Then in the afternoon I'm off to my niece 1st birthday party
grin.gif

Sunday - Me & Q have our lesson with Lucy Thompson - thankfully indoors
grin.gif
& then I will hack Spider (& prob get wet again) before meeting a friend for lunch at NH, as she is writing for the riding club dressage.

Nothing planned this weekend as Star is still having some time of after her back/shoulder problems...so prob just out Sat night with an old friend, and have another girly friend popping over tonight for din. Can you tell OH is away for work hehehe

You'll never know unless you try - Daniel Mills is one of the senior lecturer (he did a lot of the early work on stable mirrors) and he is a really good lecturer (he was my dissertation tutor).

I might have to take you up on that offer next year as I did really want to go this year but being down south now I never get any warning as to when its on. I am also very jealous that you get to experience Walkabout (we don't have one in Essex

)

I am hunting on saturady, then have the hunt ball on saturday night, which I am seriously having second thoughts about.

Then I am showjumping at the Jays on sunday with the Jerry monster, so should be fun with a hangover, I think he is the sort of horse that you really need your wits about you showjumping..
crazy.gif

Ah well, it will be fun Im sure

Thanks Nats!!!! thats good to know! I am serious about the invite! I shall have to get my thinking cap on regards the degree! Do you use it now in your current job?

Spoke to Rosie yesterday. She's hoping to hunt Cruz (ex H-J) tomorrow and has a lesson with John Bowen Sunday am. Then Possibly a p2p ride at Cottenham afterwards.
Have a great weekend whatever you're up to
smile.gif

Will do. Poor Cruz had to stay out for a few days 'cos they'd run out of stables - she was not amused apparently - but she's in now. Rosie jumped her a few days ago and she was brilliant, much better than when she was trying her at your yard, so looks like thumbs up
