Bored of the snow now and we have more forecast today

We are off to Hannah Moody's today with Chunks and Fritz for 2 days training and freezing to death in the truck.

Fingers X'd we make it north before the snow makes it south......

Enjoy!

FMC :) x

9th day of deep snow, minus 12 this morning, endurance postponed , next Sunday doesnt look good either!
Courage everyone!

Well supposed to be taking sprog & ponio dressaging for school on Saturday but daughter is ill in bed & ponio has been stablebound since Sunday due to very rutty ground covered in 4" of snow. Another 6" is forecast too so not hopeful of going anywhere:(

Oh no.... :(

You're in South Yorkshire.......this does not bode well for our trip.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news & I hope I am wrong!! The roads are actually really good at the minute ( country roads still icy) but our yard is just on standstill :(

At least the roads are good, it's only the very last bit that is country lanes.....hoping we can get ahead of the snow and that it will disappear before we come back on Sat :D

Should be at a DR Clinic on Saturday, but that has been postponed until next weekend, in a way glad as horses are stablebound at moment and there is no way I would get the lorry off the yard and we have more snow to come, great......

Good luck all who do get to go out and compete and rest of you enjoy your weekend...

Flynn is moving today! And probably a school in the new non frozen arena tomorrow.

Then my birthday on Saturday.
Sorry no comps but everything is cancelled round here.

Quiet weekend for us! Pony not been ridden since Saturday as the arena is frozen (although it's a lot milder today so fingers crossed we can get back to work!)

Flatwork lesson scheduled at some point during the weekend and treating myself to a nice massage on Saturday afternoon.

Good luck to everyone competing - hope the bad weather stays away!

well... i have planned to go and ride my boys (school and hack them as not competing currently) as HOPEFULLY the country lanes upto the yard are ice free by the weekend..

however, we have had more snow forecast so... we shall see how my weekend pans out!!! i suspect it will be stuck inside and unable to get my car out in freshly fallen snow....

has anyone actually not got ANY snow??? i'll be rather jealous if so... seems everywhere is either frozen/snow covered at the moment!!!

We have more snow forecast for tonight so I haven't made any plans as I think they'll just be called off anyway :(

Plus I can't actually find anything I want to go to round here at the moment  Will try and go xc schooling next week if the ground allows and I can't find anything more interesting to do. Stupid winter!

Well, my plans all depend on whether or not two of our mares foal! One is due today, but is doing nothing, the other is due next week and is bagging up....

Other than that, I just have feeding and checking going on with mine. Boring - yep!!

We have no snow! :D sorry, won't rub it in too much..it is quite frozen though. Not sure what it's like at home in worcs, which is where horse is, am going home tomorrow with the hope to go xcountry schooling but that probably won't be happening so will just school the pony if the ménage isn't frozen :)

Have a good time training :)

We've been pretty lucky here and haven't had a day where we aren't able to ride yet as even though its been down to -12 at night out arena hasnt yet frozen! However snow is forecast tonight and tomorrow.....

Am meant to be taking Bloss to our first comp since we won at the Winters in 2007 on Saturday, but weather doesn't look promising. Not had the best prep this week either as she had bowen last night so has to have tonight off, and doesn't look like i'll be able to ride tomorrow with all the snow forecast, so Saturday will be a disaster anyway if we do go!

grim icy patches and snow plus we might get more so just hoping I can actually ride !

going to a pilates rider alignment session on saturday - cos thats indoors ! Looking forward to it actually

are you east angluar? I saw something like this advertised round here too I think?

Hibernation!

I've done to much crazy stuff in the freezing cold recently. It's officially a duvet weekend now my SJ is cancelled!

Was supposed to be taking Bill for his first competitive outing post-injury. Just Prelim 19 at a local venue, but I've never done a long arena test so I have been fretting about getting lost going up the centre line. Need fret to more as it's been cancelled due to the snow :(

So no plans this weekend now! Indoor arena at my yard is virtually fully-booked all day tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday so I probably won't even be able to ride this weekend :( Never used to be this difficult to get in the school, don't think we've ever before had so many liveries who do actually ride their horses! :p

yes, I guess you must be too cos you also have tons of minging snow still hanging around!

Its a Lynn Perry one in colchester. Havent done one before but friend's mother has and recommended so Im giving it a try. She does regular classes too but I worked out I could never get there, she is based near stowmarket I think which is a bit of a trek for me.

Sorry to anyone who currently has snow but I am so happy it isn't us this time (we had it the last two winters - thigh deep )

So this sat I am on call for work - have to go in for the morning and help with any emergencies. hopefully it will be quiet and I can be home for 2pm (probably jinxed it now )

Would like to clip J out - just a trace clip - haven't clipped him before and bought him totally naked from a dealer so no idea what he is like.
Then bath tail. If I get chance to ride I will but if not, will get stuff ready for Sunday.

Local RC dressage day on sun - doing restricted P4 and open P10 - doubt we will do any good, its his first show in 6 months and I've only ridden a dozen times (none of it practicing my test either!)

Have fun all :D

I keep seeing these advertised too, but not managed to drag self along yet.

Was meant to have a lesson on Sunday, but not sure it's going to happen as people are cancelling on me due to not having sat on their horses!! Blooming snow and Ice!! If that doesn't happen, I may venture to Vale View on Sunday for the blue chip quals if I get to sit on madam first.... we will see!! Good luck to everyone competing!!

Hibernation!

i'm glad i'm not the only one! :p

Well, mostly a chilled out weekend for me. I'm hoping the snow doesn't hit Melton/Leicester area as i'm supposed to be taking delivery of my brand spanking new dressage saddle tomorrow evening and i will be most disappointed if it doesn't happen!

Saturday is spent at the dentist getting a filling...and sunday, well, i'm going to sleep like i've never slept before!!! Get up and ride, then possibly go back to bed - maybe i'll walk the dogs too, but mostly, this weekend, i am going to try and take life a bit slower than at the normal frantic pace. :)

Hoping to ride at all but not looking all that hopeful as we have more snow forecast and the last lot isn't cleared. Grumble Grrr.
