I'm off with a cold so desperately trying to get better before doing our first BSJA on Sunday at Patchetts! Doing the BN and the 1m Amateur class! Really looking forward to it!
Then taking BOTH mine out to Kingston Maurward to do a class each on sunday
Its going to be a bl00dy early start plaiting two horses, and im going to be on early as im in the first two classes with them both, but one runs in the indoor and one in the outdoor.......
Also ive a feeling Bloss is goin to turn into psycho horse as she went for her first trip out in the lorry last night (just to the vets) and spent her whole journey there (all of 5mins down the road) screaming. We arrived and she was a sweaty mess.......
So i think its going to be interesting to say the least
Cool, I have the exact opposite of a long striding horse (he is 15hh in his shoes
) so should suit us. TBH he is already qualified at 2'9 and 3'0, just want to do the 2'6 as well on the basis that it goes up at the championships so the 3'0 when it goes up to 3'3 might just be stretching it a bit for him at the mo, still working on him getting his hindlegs clear of anything over 90cm! We have 4-fault-itis anything bigger than BN!
What do you have to do for the amateur qualifications? I've jumped a few of the BSJA 80/90 cm thingies at Patchetts, but always on tickets. Planning to register him in the autumn when OH is up to that as well, pointless doing it now as I'm the lorry driver so we can't be going different places!

To qualify for the 90cms, 1m, 1.10m or 1.20m Amateur Champs 2nd Rounds, you must be placed in the Top 6 AND jump a clear round in the 1st Round. That gets you a ride in any of the 2nd Round Qualifiers, at which you must be placed in the Top 10 AND jump a clear round in the 1st Round
The Top 6 / Top 10 placing rule applies irrelevant of the number of starters too. So if there are only 6 horses in a 1st Round Qualifier and you jump clear, then you have qualified
ETS: There is no 80cms Championship though.....they just score points towards your regional league at that height.
I am looking after trainers horses on Saturday first thing, then off to Weston lawns (i think!). Could be interesting. Anyone else that is going to WL what are you jumping?
No fair. I want to play at WL on saturday but remembered I'm teaching on saturday morning.
oooh just though. Weezy - If I PM you my mobile number could you ring me around noon and let me know which classes they are on? Might still get there in time.
Sure no probs, though I am hoping to get there about 11am (mind you if I don't get my BSJA numbers I am not going anywhere - I have to call again later

You should already have your BSJA number from when you were registered before, so that shouldn't be an issue ! Most show centres will allow you to compete anyway, even if you don't have the horses number, so long as you've sent off the registration
i hope that was to the miiiiiiiles a way and not coventry!! lol
i do reside by weston lawns so might pops over and see you, and im off to rugby on sunday to do some cross country...our first of the year! come on!
Its Mothers day - would have gone to Blewbury on Sunday otherwise, but the boys are out at a friends all day Saturday playing so it makes more sense to go out Sat and not Sun and not pee the family off!
Not overly happy about it, I hate going that far alone
Gawd, right, OK, that is quite a way...I'm right by junc 6 M40 but would still take us a good couple of hours in Bluebell the Bedford!!
Sticking with Blewbury methinks....if i have a sudden rethink and decide to spend more money on a ticket I'll praobably head the other way to Patchetts, at least thats only just over an hour!
