Nothing really on this weekend, last week's Brent Pelham was truly awful, I ended up on the deck for the fourth time in five weeks, having previously not fallen off for four years. Then was mortally embarrassed as my bright white Connie careered round the course, putting other people off their rounds, going through the water complex backwards on his way to the lorry park as his hacking buddy was attempting to come through it the right way, then tearing about in the lorry park generally causing carnage. I was really really upset. Anyway vet came out on Wednesday and reinjected his hocks, so he's off games until Monday. But am going to help a friend at her Stressage competition, am a far better groom than anything else at the moment.

I'm eventing at Northallerton this weekend.

Horses first show where we have to travel for a longer time so going to walk the course today to get our bearings etc and then back across tomorrow to compete.
2 hours from home and about 1hr 30 from the yard so not too bad.

Sunday will be quiet!

Quiet weekend for us- lesson Saturday at 9am, then I'm doing 'ladies what lunch' afternoon with the girls.

Sunday I must ride (even with a hangover) as I'm away with work Mon-Weds and Vinnie and I are off the waitlist for Solihull next Saturday :)

The Spooky Pony is going to be doing something different on Sunday: going to pair up with a hacking buddy to do a TREC orienteering competition thing. Because 10k "is for wusses", we've signed up for "Level 2 Pairs 20k" (whatever that means), which could be entertaining, as I have no clue what we're expected to do, and my partner tells me she's spectacularly bad at this. If we ever find our way back to the venue, I will report back! :D

A fun filled weekend for me but I shall miss horsing it, as il be spending to much time with beauty therapist bridesmaids at a spa hotel in Newcastle. It's my daughters hen weekend and we're also booked in to see the Dreamboys show on the Saturday night. Oh well, perhaps I'll get to see a different type of horse?!!!

Nothing much as pony has a sick note due to a abscess, and it was looking good yesterday until he managed to get the poultice off and its really sore poor boy. I'm waiting for the vet to call again.

I've organised a whole jump camp for my Rc that I can't even go on!

Nothing much. Working tomorrow. Sunday was going to hire Parwoods outdoor grass dressage arena to practice test for Badminton then have a play on the XC but forecast is yucky. Now wondering if I can find anything indoors to do.

Was thinking of maybe going to the XC ride at Barbury on Sunday. If the weather's bad, maybe the 1.05m and Newcomers at Crofton Manor. Just playing around jumping in the school tomorrow morning - a potential shareloaner is going to have another try on Crosby. Up to London on Sat eve to meet up with friends, so looks like a good weekend even if the weather's shocking :)

Jumping lesson on Sunday - first for more years than I care to mention but all part of the plan to actually get out and DO something with the donkey this year, last year was scuppered by pregnancy and c-section so this is our year to get out there and compete otherwise we never will!

Taking my 3 yo welsh c to his first ever in hand show on Sunday, really excited! Though with this rain I can see myself going flying into the mud whilst trying to coordinate my legs to run!
