It's Saturday here in NZ. So Billy is off to be defluffed for his first clip of winter and he'll get an equine touch session if he behaves himself.
I also get to ride! Two weeks ago he bogged off when I was holding him and strained muscles in my shoulder. Finally it is not constantly hurting so it's time to get back on board - yippee! Two weeks isn't long but he'd been turned out for a month before that for a wee holiday so I'm desperate to get going again.
Was meant to be doing a 36km ride tomorrow with the Spooky Pony, but have been offered a concert, so will be in rehearsals. Planning to have a wee sit or two on the Ballerina Mare instead, and possibly attack the Giant Hogweed.
I'll need to find myself a buddy to do a fake hilly 30km CTR with, though, in the next week, to keep building up the pony's fitness!
YES, yes, yes, yes, yes, at last, after 16 months, Scarlet is off to a BE jump clinic on grass. Don't know what she is going to be like, just sooooo pleased to be going out again after her awful kick in Jan 2013
Painting jumps! Painting half of them pink, with the poles pink & white stripes, & the other half blue with the poles blue & white. I've finished the blue wings & have started on the pink ones,
Adrian is going to Potton tomo with his sharer to do a nervous novice improvers' clinic.
