Weekend plans.

I'm COMPETING :D

He's going like an absolute turd, and we've barely practised or learnt the test but I don't care, because I'm taking him to a party for the first time since 21st December, and I really never thought this day would ever come again :D Just a Prelim dressage - he's already been out jump schooling twice this week so he's turned into a bit of a hooligan - but am super proud to be taking my miracle pony to a competition again :)

Then on Sunday he's giving my boyfriend a riding lesson. Multi-tasker is Buzz's new middle name.

A very much longed for weekend off - so lots of hacking in prep for our Regionals next weekend.

Today my flat exchange is FINALLY going through, so hopefully I won't be so blooming stressed. I don't think I ride very well when I'm up tight :(

Keysoe BD regionals for me tomorrow afternoon. Hoping that I'm not in the arena next to the giant champagne bottles 😳

Today finish packing lorry and set off to Keysoe for regionals.
This evening will be spent de-spooking around the arenas whilst owner and my wife start on the wine (they're stopping over).
Tomorrow, hope horse is gleaming and plaited up despite wine drinking by the two grooms then play fight the good fight in the warmup before tests.
Sunday - owner is competing her other horse at moulton so I will be there as groom, trainer and test caller.
Monday - back to work for a rest.
Good luck Comet. If I knew who you were I would watch your test.

Thanks PaddyMonty, good luck too. I'm on at 2.38 if you're still around.

I don't suppose you know where the fourth arena is do you? It looks like four arenas running at once. I know they normally run three outdoors, and I was expecting both indoors to be the warmups.

Good luck to all at the regionals :)
Wagon needs MOT,and took the little racehorse out the last 2 weekends, so will probably make the most of the fields that have been cut and go for a nice hack and canter :)

I should still be around. Sort of hoping we make top 10 so will have to hang on for prize giving. Can live in hope.
I'd assumed from judge positions they would be using middle outdoor for warm up classes and arena 1 and 3 for tests as these are set up for multi judge positions. They have a new arena around the back so may be using this for tests or possibly warmup leaving indoor as test arena.
I'll be there around 3.30pm today so will check out and report back later this evening. You're in novice restricted aren't you. Will find out where which arena you are in.

Thank you, that's really helpful. I had assumed he would be ok as I thought we had been in every arena possible at Keysoe, but I could be wrong! Yes, I'm in restricted novice.

BD tomorrow- P13 & N34. Times are really late Which means at least I get a lay in, but also, won’t be done til about 7.30pm tomorrow eve by time we’ve got back and mucked trailer out etc :(

No competing for me this weekend as saving her for Addington next weekend (not like it makes much difference with the little mare) o taking the Haflinger to the beach. It's either going to be a good day or he is going to be horrid. He hasn't seen an awful lot of the world bless him.

Good luck at Keysoe this weekend guys.

PaddyMonty, if you see this I've been told I'm in arena 2 (the one with the giant champagne bottles) so I may be along later to do the arena walk

Gallops on Sunday then Smiths Lawn on Tuesday.

What's everyone else up to and good luck :smile3:

Nice hack tonight with a friend round the short block, possibly a grid work session tomorrow and 12 mile fun ride in Oxfordshire on Sunday. Can't believe that my horse is back again after all the problems he had and being able to do a fun ride is just something I never dreamed about being able to do, I am so chuffed and text the vet in thanks this morning. Thinking about it now that was probably tempting fate! :(

Good luck Carefreegirl and good luck all the other niccies on this forum xx

Friday - Day off as I'm visiting the grandparents
Saturday - Our first hunter trial at Lexham Hall :D :D :D
Sunday - Probably just a quiet hack to stretch out from the hunter trial :)

The rest of the week will be pretty quiet too as she's had a busy few weeks so could do with some easy time :)

Doing our second british novice tomorrow at home - saw the course being built tonight and panicked slightly as there was a 3.5T horsebox sat in the middle of the arena right next to a scary filler. Eeeep... :eek3:

Then on Sunday me and a friend are off to SNEC while the big man jumps at home with my trainer. :)

Viewing another horse tomorrow! Lesson tomorrow and viewing a trailer on sunday... and then some SJ schooling on sunday as well! The big grey donkey had a little longer off than planned so we have another BE90 next sunday! May just do the Dr and SJ phases depending on how he's feeling! Good luck to all competing :)

Never posted in 'Weekend plans' before but love reading it and seeing what everyone is up to so thought I would give it a go!

Today, I am in work, putting finishing touches to our catalogue of 470 yearlings we are due to sell in the first of 4 yearling sales in October.
Sunday, I am off to Chilham having my first ever go at BE90RF, horse had kissing spine diagnosed last year and was very nearly put down, 11 process treated with ligament snip and 10 months down the line he is like a different horse. Just to be eventing is a miracle let alone qualified for a Regional, so proud of my boy. I will probably be the one crying whatever the result!

Hope the bottles didn't cause you any problem. Not sure any horses even noticed them. Spring certainly didn't.
Left before you got there today. How did it go.
