Weekend plans?

Everyone sounds like they've had great weekends! Quiet one for me, Topaz is on a fittness and jumping programme as we've rather foolishly decided to go to a Lucinda Green clinic in a week or so , no idea why I'm nervous Topaz will love it but I so don't want to make a fool of myself!

Great news that Mike now has his name :D, lovely picture!

Thank you :) he's still an eedjit about the most ridiculous things though - had a major spook and spin in the school at some hay bales on Thursday - that have been there for 3 months  but then isn't worried by some 'orrible xc fences, just has to put his specs on, look and pop occasionally :D
But he's still a knob to load - you have to stand behind him with a broom, not do anything but just be there; he won't stand at the concrete mounting block properly at home but will stand in the middle of a field and allow you to use a wobbly set of steps, and drives you mad on the lorry as he stands scraping his tie up back and forth on the tack lockers making a racket because he gets bored.

I'm going to say something that everyone said to me about Topaz when she was in her 'kevin' years, he sounds such a character :D.

Won our Advanced Medium 85 in a big class of 5 (at AM that is a big class and usually we're last of 2 or 3 so that was very exciting!). 2nd in our first go at AM91. 66.3% and 65.6% - very pleased with those scores! Super excited for our Advanced debut next weekend! Tailcoat time!

WOW< brilliant, well done, he is such a superstar ;-)

miss_c 99% certain I saw you at Keysoe, hope it went well!

Purple lorry with a bay cob and two white fluffy dogs? ;)

We won the Novice warmup test with the highest mark of the whole show - 74.7%! Judge loved her and said it was 'lovely to see this little firecracker again' - I don't remember having her before but apparently I have!

Unfortunately we then had a judge who SLATED her (video'd test and sheet do not tally AT ALL), and on day two when we had two judges we had a List 1 judge who again liked her despite her being a tad naughty towards the end of the test, and the judge that hated her. >_< I won't go into what the sheet from her said but it was along the lines of 'I don't know what to say so have fun with your pony but don't try and do dressage again'.... Our final halt got an 8 from the List 1 judge at C (so am VERY chuffed!) but only a 6 from the judge that hated her and who basically marked 1 - 2 marks lower for the entire test which was very expensive. However we had an AMAZING weekend there with fabulous teammates and at the end of the day surely that's what it is all about? There's a few photos on my blog. ^_^

Bummer about the 'not a fan' judge :(, but at least the other judges like her! Topaz can be a bit marmite too so know how discouraging it can seem, we all know you are both fab though and that warm up score  :D.
