Bit early but trying to cheer myself up by forgetting the spitefulness of others and planning the weekend.

Saturday morning helping OH course build at a large local show in the area, he course builds every year for the same organisation who are one of very few these days that actually jump on grass! Its fun to pass a couple of hours chatting to the organisers and helping out and I enjoy learning about course building from him.

Saturday afternoon visiting parents then dashing back to the yard to finish off before dashing back home to meet friend who is coming around for tea! Chinese or fish and chips - always a welcome treat!

Sunday morning offered to turn out again at the yard and then will probably either hire the indoor school at the local riding club and have another little jump or go round the members field and boundary ride if there is a show on and its in use.

Good luck to those competing.

Friday night we're having a lesson just in case we decide to do the class at Cheshire Show in 2 weeks.
Saturday I'm not sure but need to squeeze in a ride and a leg bath somewhere.
Then Sunday we're off to a friend's farm to have a training session for demos at Cheshire show. Fingers crossed that BP actually loads on the trailer this time - took us 1 1/2 hours last time but we've done loads of practice eating his tea in it since and is currently almost self loading but I think he might protest at coming home.
Then Monday I'm off on a flight to Spain for a week of holiday, he he!

MrsH - hope your mum feels better soon!

Pony had a massage last night - so low key stretching session tonight - possibly over poles

Quick tidy up wash on Fri evening ready for lesson on Sat
Quiet day Sun.

She's had a tough week with her friend being in hospital and competing last weekend so giving her an easy weekend :)

More hacking for us! Just got back from a 15 miler over the common and through the woods so I think we'll have a change over the weekend and go for a hack to the big beach :). With all this hacking (a lot of it is at trot or canter as it's off road) the mare is at the best weight I've ever had her! Chuffed.

I might try and arrange a lesson for Sunday to work on our Novice D2M floorplan.

Hacking out on Saturday with someone from the yard. I've been practising with the electric gates this week but new mare is still spooky with them and showing a slight nap which I want to nip in the bud, so hoping going out with a buddy will help give her more confidence.

Sunday, all being well I will hack over to the other yard and maybe do a bit of jumping there. I want to get her to a point where I can trust her out hacking so I can take her out during the week - because of her issues with the gates and another paddy she had when she saw some sheep I don't yet want to take her out on weekday evenings as I'm the only one at the yard then and if I had any problems I'd be stuck. So hoping to get her over her wobbles so I can vary her routine a bit more!

A quiet one for us. The saddler is coming tomorrow morning as Cassie has toned up so much over the past few months her saddle has started to slip forwards - maybe she is no longer extra wide! OH is away running in the London Cardiff 24 Hour Team Relay Challenge for the second time so we may go up to see the team coming in at the finish. Sunday sees our little hamlet's street party. We only have 23 residents (ranging from 3 to 83!), but we all get on which is lovely. I might squeeze a quick schooling session in before hand as we are off to do a Centaur Bio mechanics session on Tuesday which I am really looking forward to.

Still envious of your hacking DF! Good luck to everyone out and about. Keep safe and enjoy. xx

D will have Saturday off as I'm spectating at Bramham ( :D ), Sunday we're heading to the forest to meet up with a friend for a hack and then Monday I've got a XC lesson at Little Downham :)

Well we're off to Aston tomorrow for a weekend camp with my instructor :biggrin3: Heading up to arrive just after lunch and a few of us have arranged to hack together. Then 2 lessons each day on Saturday and Sunday and heading home Sunday evening. Very excited and looking forward to it immensely.

Taking my 4yo and my daughters horse xc schooling on Saturday. 4yo needs to do some xc fences as she's entered to have a go at the BYEH at bolesworth next week. Also going to try and fit a quick trip to southview as my other one hasn't been out for a bit so needs a round out before Cheshire county show. Sunday should be a day to chill out and tidy yard up

I am going to ride my horse! He's finally out the other side of 3.5 weeks of shoeing drama and lameness and is now shod, sound and ready to go. Woop woop!

Yay!! Enjoy. :)

Yesterday was a day of two halves ! My boy went out and did a lovely DC with his new jockey. Couldn't have asked for me. He was so happy to be out and skipped around the course, and even managed some lovely smooth flying changes. Ready for his outing to Cheshire show now. XC didn't happen, as we arrived the heavens opened , totally soaked and decided for a 4yo first attempt at xc we'd better leave it to another day. Good decision as on the way home the roads started to flood ! Hope everyone else had fun

So did everyone have a nice weekend? Any reports/photos on their way? :)

Still envious of your hacking DF!

I still can't quite believe I've been lucky enough to move her to where she is now! Trade-off is a 40-60min drive to the yard from home but I was doing the same total time when she was on DIY anyway.

One of the photos from our 12 mile hack (all along bridlepaths!) to the big beach today:
