:D:D:D me first, me first!

What's everyone up to then?

Kira is going ponydancing again tomorrow at Summerhouse, plus a spin round M76 as a warm up. Done lots of changes practice this week as she really went quite green with them last time out, and they are feeling a lot more established and rideable plus had a great lesson on Tuesday...
Just hope she doesn't decide she has to stop for a poo this time :p

Saturday, got some other yard horses to ride, quiet day :)

Sunday... Millie has an outing which she doesn't know about yet (as she will just find a way to injure herself if I tell her about it). Little trip to Hartpury for BD on a ticket ;)

Enjoy your dressaging Milliepops! I'm sure Millie will be happy to be back in the white boards :)
Scats - sorry to hear about your Diva missing out on competing :(

I've got our Area Festival on Saturday, just Prelim level and there are only 9 entries but it will be the first time Pocholo has been in a big fancy indoor so it will be educational as a minimum and hopefully we get into the top 6 for the prize giving! Sunday we're off xc schooling at Lyneham, I've just entered us in our first ODE at the end of the month. With the ground as it is we'll just do baby stuff and remind him (well, more me TBH as I'm a complete chicken) what jumping is all about!

Indio has another 5 weeks on box rest but we're starting a physio programme with him at the weekend. Hopefully it will give his body and mind a bit more to focus on, he's looking quite bored (although still behaving beautifully bless him!).

Nothing too exciting here either, hoping mum comes back to ride Topaz this sat but nothing booked in till next Thursday where Skylla is off for her first dressage champs at Aintree!

Same here. After a visit from he physio, Lenny is on light duties too so no dressage for him on Sunday. Ted is having sacroiliac injections tomorrow so box rest for him this weekend. Quiet weekend for me then. They're not both supposed to break at the same time!

They're not both supposed to break at the same time!

oh no! That's definitely against the rules :( I must say I'm waiting for one of mine to go wrong, both are giving me just the best feeling at the moment it's horrible waiting for the fall!

Sorry to hear about Diva, scats, I saw your thread about her the other day. Hope you get to the bottom of it asap.

Busy weekend for you then j1ffy, look forward to the reports... and a late one from Skylla - what champs is this? (yay baby horse!)

Unaff dressage champs at Aintree, you only need to get 2+ 58% scores (which we have scrapped by ), so it will be good for her to go and see trade stands not sure anyone will be shaking at the thought of competing against us ;), though her changes are better than Topaz's at the moment, not sure they'll be needed for Prelim though .

Quick hack out on DP Saturday with a friend and more TREC training for B. Sunday 4 of us are going on another pub ride. I will ride DP and sharer B, lovely hack there with a few canters thrown in if the ground is soft enough and wobble home at a more sedate pace.

No real plans, I'm not competing again until after my exams are finished. But I'll be riding again for the first time in 3weeks this weekend because I've been stuck at uni for the last 3 weeks much to my disgust Hoping the weather will hold and I'll be able to go for a nice hack now the canter field is open again...

Good Luck to all those out competing this weekend and healing vibes for all those in recovery or box rest .

Not very much happening for us over this weekend, just had my horse physio out at lunchtime, nothing majorly wrong - more of an MOT - horse tends to not always get his left canter transitions so double checking it is nothing physical. results were he was a bit tight through his neck on right side and on one side his pelvis and hip were a bit misaligned and further forward than other, so she said he would have found it hard to get that hind leg under to get the correct left strike off, so no riding till Saturday then we can go hack and then on sunday we will run through our dressage test ready to be guinea pigs for the judge training seminar on Tuesday!

I might....just might....go out for a hack on Jensen in walk....with a body protector of course .....#suchexcitement :D

Hahaha, #rubbishsicknotesanonymous

Good luck everyone going out and about. Sorry to hear about those with horses throwing in a few duvet days - it's the most frustrating thing at this time of year.

The big moose is going for his first party in over a year on Sunday, which I'm excited about - if feels so frivolous just using a weekend to play ponies....it's the first for a while (just have to not think of all the things I should be doing) :D

Eddie is going to jump the baby class at an eventer trial then Callie is going xc schooling on the surface as the ground is rock hard here.

After last weekend's rather disappointing dr outing (nothing R did, more the judging...) we're taking a step back and concentrating on training for a bit. R started working on passage in our last lesson so I'm going to have a play with that and do some lateral work as the sideways stuff is a weak point. I should probably give B a jump at some point, too.

Also waiting to hear if the horse I had vetted yesterday passed. *crosses fingers*

I'm back on the boy (again!). Going to friends places both weekend days for hopeful enjoyment then next week I am having my own private confidence camp with a lesson every day. 3 with my SJ coach and two with other people. Going for kill or cure on the nerves front. If I'm still crying by Friday I'm giving up!

Good luck all, look forward to reading about the adventures.

Good luck to everyone partying this weekend! Hope everyone goes well and has fun. :)

Commiserations to everyone on a sicknote :(

Nothing exciting happening in my corner... I'm meant to be having a lesson tomorrow, but I had a really bad (for me) asthma attack yesterday, and it still feels like there is a rock sitting in my lungs, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be up to a lesson. Other than that I'm perfecting my plaiting skills... I'm determined to be able to do a decent tail plait at some point! My long suffering ponies are getting really good at standing still and zoning out while I faff with them!

Sounds like a mixed weekend this time, hope riders and horses all recover soon. Exciting times for BM with a potential new horse. I think you're getting a decent collection now?! Hope it works out and look forward to hearing your plans for this one.

I'm v lucky to have lots of fun things on but getting a bit frustrated as they are often non horsey. Am finding it difficult fitting in my horsey training and getting miffed at having to cancel stuff I had hoped to do. First world problems though. Show jump practice at home on Saturday. I need to get comfortable jumping at 80 plus. We do it in lessons but I haven't recreated it at home. We're getting there though, and I'm now comfortable up to 75 which is a teeny improvement in the last couple of months. Horse is more than capable, it's the rider that needs work.

If I can I'll hack some time Sunday but probably won't have time.

Hacking, hacking, hacking tonight, then quick work out for Fergs tomorrow morning before I head over to Rugby to watch some competent people play polocrosse. Then probably watch the ERM livestream on Sunday, to psych myself up for some jumping games - hopefully in the newly rain-softened field - with the Daemon, and more hacking for Fergus.

We have our first polocrosse tournament next weekend so I probably ought to sort a few things out. Like where my coralling gear is. Not to mention my camping gear :eek3:

She (!) passed. :D
Will post some pics when she arrives - she's staying where she is for a few weeks while our new yard is finished off.

We've only got 6 at the moment... Plenty of room for a few more. ;)

A busy weekend for me. My pony has been retired to be a happy hacker and I'm missing my schooling fix so I'm going back to riding school! Hopefully something better than kick and pull as the instructor is training under Phillipe Karl.
Then saddle fitter is out later to see if we can tweak my new EE saddle so I can jump in it without faceplanting.

Then tomorrow I'm off to a clinic on equine behaviour which should be interesting.

Woo hoo, we hacked! My ribs survived! Walked AND trotted! It has seemed a very very long 4 weeks off riding... so glad to be back :) :)

As my plans have had to change, I am writing for the judge tomorrow afternoon at the dressage I was going to attend. I'll be writing for the class I was entered for as well, so it will be a useful way of seeing what the judge is looking for and eyeing up the competition for next time!

Otherwise I would be moping about so I decided to turn it into something productive!

Woohoo, we came third in our Area Festival today! Managed to completely split the judge's with a 7% difference in scores :O. One of them didn't like Pocholo at all!

Very happy to be reunited with my beastie after a very long 3 weeks without seeing him (I was away at uni, booo!). Had a play in the school, popped a few fences, he's feeling fab and I'm very ready for my exams to be over so I can get out competing again. Tried to get a few confo/condition shots but Henry decided he'd rather snooze in the sun than stand square for them

But of course he decided to pose the minute he was back in his stable :D

He's gorgeous IKMV.
Congrats on being back on board Lev.
Well, I have to admit that I spectacularly misjudged my horse today....last time went out do dressage he was a PSSM induced slug, who could barely manage a 20 min warm-up and one test....
Not so anymore, today we did 40mins warm-up and he went into the main arena and promptly decided that we were doing a round of grand prix showjumping, and trotting was fundamentally for losers.
As I cantered rather than trotted up the centre line at the start I had one of those out of body experiences where the alternative me who is competent and organised and rides with immaculate procession was wetting herself laughing saying "haha, have fun, see ya later".
In case any budding dressage efficionados are wondering - a medium trot across the diagonal where your horse locks onto the boards as a jump, which you only just manage not to jump, will earn you a mark of 3.

But to be honest, I'm still over the moon with him, because as anyone with a badly affected PSSM horse will know, sitting on your horse and feel them bubbling over with energy and enthusiasm is just shear euphoria. And the judge was lovely too, she came out to the ringside and called me over to say how lovely my boy was and how he went very nicely in between the chaos, which was a lovely thing for her to do.

Definitely two tests next time out - I never thought I would say that with this horse.

Hope everyone else competing has had fun :D
