Thursday afternoon! Nearly the weekend... kinda, anyway :D

What have we all got planned?

Kira has a show tomorrow, M73 and AM96 which seems a bit boring after our last exciting outings but we still have the summer qualifications to get done. *fingers crossed*

On Saturday I have won VIP tickets to the BD winters so will be heading over to watch the inter1 freestyle for the gala evening. Should be a good evening :)

Sunday will be the usual arena hire for Salty, got a test to practice for her next outing.

Have fun everyone, hope we might get a break in the weather...?

Best of luck with Kira and have fun at the winters! Exciting :)

We're off to have another go at E49 and some clear round at Felbridge on Sunday. I'm quite busy with people-plans the rest of the weekend, don't have much time to practice

Quiet weekend for us. Polly had the Osteo on Tuesday and needed clunking a bit so she had a days rest and now has 2 days of longreining before resuming ridden work on Saturday. Diva will be schooling and hacking. First competition of the season will likely be the weekend after. I generally wait until I have mine out overnight to start my season because it just fits in better with our routine, but I’ve delayed overnight turnout due to the poor weather and the sopping ground.

Need to get the wagon out for a run and do a bit of tidying up in there.

Good luck Kira, get the job done, don’t throw in sequence changes to show off and then you can get back to the proper fancy stuff!

Giant baby is going to do the ride in session at Hunters on Saturday then hopefully off to the hunt ride at Cirencester on sunday

After a mega busy week (I need to do a camp/XC schooling report), we are having a laid back weekend.

Forest ride on Saturday for DS and I :)

Fiona

No definite plans yet but do need to do some fast canter work and also some jumping of some description. Will probably go XC schooling one day and beach one day. As I'm off work tomorrow I will do one of things Friday and the other Sunday with maybe a hack in between

Not the weekend, but next week I have a clinic with Rodrigo Matos (ex head rider at the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art). I can't believe I'm actually excited: a great boost after a horrific winter of muck and drudgery.

Good luck to all competing and *fingers crossed* for a dry weekend after a very wet week!

I'm dog sitting for my Dad all weekend so very excited to do some walking on Saturday with the pooches then on Sunday I'm taking my Welsh cob to the All Welsh Northern show to do the Barren Mares and Geldings over 4 class - feels like a bit of a 'rejects' class, but there's a nice incentive for Geldings if you go overall Gelding Champ/reserve so here's to hoping! I'm a bit of an amateur at these shows though so Maldwyn finds it all super exciting which adds to his ring presence if I can keep him concentrating! It's his first time out for a long time so hoping to have some fun :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Last day of boot camp at local trainers yard (flat schooling) tomorrow.
Saturday, I was going to rc grid clinic but its cancelled as field too wet for parking, so then got myself onto a friends polework clinic instead but now that's cancelled.
Sunday am going to an indoor Trec training session.

Good luck to all those competing :)

Sulking mainly! The clydesdale lump was meant to be doing a charity show in the concurs d'elegance under spotlights and to music, and he was going to wear his full dress harness which only gets used about 3 times a year - I'd booked the day off work before Christmas. But he is still recovering from his abscess, and looks a state with a shaved leg so we're walking around the car park.

Good luck to everyone else out and about.

Rodrigo is a fantastic teacher: a couple of friends and I had the pleasure of lessons from him at Morgado Lusitano year before last for a week. I still think of one particular lesson ( which came down to doing less in essence) every time I ride. He is also really nice. Enjoy !

We’re off to the East Kent Sponsored ride on Sunday. It will be my first outing with my trailer so I’m rather excited now the world is our oyster !!

We have our third event for the season. I am super excited for this one, it's at one of my favourite venues and the weekend is looking perfect. We are going back up to 95 too, I feel like we have all our bases covered and I can't wait to get out onto cross country!

I hope everyone else has a great weekend with whatever they do!

I am planning having a wee go of my mare tomorrow, I am currently 5 1/2 months pregnant so I have tried to stay away but every so often I need a wee fix. Then sunday my friend who is riding her for me is doing a pole/grid work class with her.

My OH half has been riding my mare as he is taking her to do her first working hunter show in 2 weeks time.

Nothing too exciting for me.

Raz is doing E57 and M75 at SNEC on Saturday - first test isn’t until 1726 so I’ll have time to ride the others before we go.

Then Ellie is supposed to be going to her first trip away on Monday, which also happens to be my 30th. On the downside, the vet is coming out to see Henry first thing because I’m convinced that something isn’t right with his back.

Good luck to everyone out competing :)

I have the whole yard to do all weekend, plus working exercising other peoples ponies so no exciting plans. Hopefully get back out next weekend

Good luck to everyone competing, and with the vet visit B_M.

I'm taking Indio out to do N38 test tomorrow. After last weekend I decided I really need to get out and do more tests on him to get rid of my ring-rustiness! We're doing the Cirencester fun ride on Sunday so I don't want to wear him out, but one Novice test will hopefully help without being too exhausting. Then I'll give Pocholo a decent work-out to tire him out as his new loaner is riding him on the fun ride and is a bit nervous about it. I don't want him to be too bouncy for her ;)

Have fun all hope the ground stays ok for those out on grass and doing rides. Sounds fun. And the gala evening sounds great MP.

Social life getting in the way again haha, so only have Saturday really for a hack out before heading up to friends. Does anyone else get frustrated at having to fit in non horsey life? I enjoy it ofc but if I don’t get my horsey fix I get grumpy, and always feel like I’m giving up some horse thing that I would otherwise want to be doing

Heading out to do N24 and N38 tomorrow. Haven't been out dressaging since mid Feb thanks to the snow, so not sure how we will get on, especially as he is feeling rather fresh at the moment!
J1ffy, I think we are going to the same place.

I'm stewarding the top arena tomorrow and saw your name on the list of entries. I should really be competing, but my sister died suddenly a few weeks back and my head is not in the right place at the moment. At least the weather should be ok - the past two times I have stewarded, I've had to shelter in my car much of the time. Good luck!

If you are in the same place, please say hello - I'll be stewarding your long arena test. Good luck!

So sorry about your sister niki x

Good luck to everyone out competing.

I'm not up to much horsey this weekend. Have fun everyone

Sorry to hear about your sister niki :( Hope you stay dry and manage to have a good day today.

We had a productive outing yesterday. The usual paranoia - I've checked, double checked and triple checked and yes, the summer regional qualifications are done :D Free to crack on with the fun stuff now ;) Nice red frilly to add to the collection too.
Actually enjoyed riding the tests loads as well, she has come on so much for doing the advanced classes that the medium and AM was really enjoyable. I felt like I could ride her like I do at home, sounds silly but this is a horse that has been so backward and tricky at shows, it's a huge pleasure to find her relaxed and focussed between the white boards :)
