I am going to Longleat to watch on Friday and then Party Party!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Excellent, may see you there then? I have very sociable times in the afternoon, which is nice as it is a bit of a trek for us, but one I've wanted to do since I was a kid and used to force my mum to take me to watch! Typical therefore that pony is throwing a strop and I am ill, but hey ho.

Just noticed on their website they call the sections animal names like pelican monkey etc!! How cool!

I must stick my horse to stop all the guess work on how big he is!
Having pumped him full of propell plus he still seems remarkably the same but he jumped like a stag and he grunted going over the fences which showed he was putting some effort in! Will find out what his dressage is like tomorrow! I have been schooling him by the banger racers and motorway which is very useful for a easily distracted horse! As far as possible will try and park close to you and then will say very loudly how cruel you are and that its disgusting the way you treat your horse to anyone that will listen!!

PMSL, but now I have signs it is not an issue, people laugh and start conversations with me so they will not believe you. I am having a real 'giveup and do something cheaper/easier' time at the moment, so naglet had better redeem himself or he will be left for the lions.

You should do as I'm bringing some equipment over for LEC, please don't park too close to her as I don't want your horse giving me a headache
grin.gif
Him and the Sealions, do you think anyone will be able to do dressage?

You both need to let me know what times you are doing stuff

Clearly my only hope of getting placed is to nobble the opposition by making them so deaf they cannot hear the stewards calling for them to go into the ring! LEC and I have v similar times, although her dressage is about 30 mins before mine, but after that we are on at about the same time as we are only 2 numbers apart I think. Even your sister and her hubby commented on my signs, so all will run smoothly I think.

I am aiming to get there at about 12.30 giving me time to walk the course whilst my friend tacks up and lunges the horse - think my dressage is about twenty past two so he should be suitably tired by then having piaffed all the way there too!

parisienne girl..... i too am going to hickstead saturday, unlike you i'm only 20 mins away, your coming along way just for some dressage, i take my hat off to you. i'm doing the ele 44. your times should be fairly late as i think they have very full classes. let me know your times when they go up and your number, perhaps we could meet up, would be nice to put a face to this forum chatting! have just checked for the times but nothing up as yet.

Longleat on Friday.
Picking Boss up from college on Sunday so going to spend a lot of time admiring him when he gets home probably

I have a lesson on fri night, so hopefully the rain will hold off!

I want to take my new mare to southview bsja on sat or sun but seeing as lorry is not finished and dont know anyone with a trailer to lend, doesnt look like i can go!

Good luck everyone.

Had been planning to BSJA at Felbridge, but just monitoring Bo closely at the moment following an out of character moment when jumping him on tuesday evening. That added to a very slight feeling that he just maybe didn't feel 100% a couple of times when i've ridden him recently and i'm now considering what to do.

Probably just me making something out of nothing but it was this time last year that he started to suffer with his feet on the firmer ground and I certainly don't want to risk losing the whole summer again

Rambo - I was there last week and have to say ground is hard. if in doubt - my gut feeling would not to jump him.

Bx

Saturday - weather permitting going to Catton Park to watch BE.
Sunday - Not sure as yet, might go to local open show, although don't really have much luck at it or might just hack out and have a nice relaxing day, as long as it stops raining.....

Sat Morning - take Owen out for a hack, Attempt the ditch i have been preparing fpor about a month. Its about 4ft spread and my horse is more than capable, its just wussie me on the back wondering if he jumps big if im going to get gaught in any branches off the tree. I think i have removed all the lower ones.

Sat Afternoon go watch stratford hills,

Sunday, quick hack, then stratford hills to watch all you people that are taking part. My XC trainer is also riunning in the afternoon so should be fun to poke fun at him.

Work do Friday - theme is James Bond. Was planning on going in a white bikini as a dare - decided although it would be very funny I have to work with these people and the site of my ample figure exposed was too much so have opted for a long cocktail dress type thing. Which covers up as much as possible.
Speedgate with Hils to the PSG.
Sunday Stilebridge with Diva and Blitz - hopefully without cheickens, geese, tablecloths, pheasants or dogs

Apparently someone killed out hunting, close by there. He is supposed to stand at the corner of the long arena, next to the judges box. One of the judges claimed to me that she'd seen him lol!

Am hoping to go BSJA Felbridge if I can get someone to come with me. I have to get out and about or else the whole idea of consistency goes down the drain. Only wanting to get a crack at some 1ms, as am not paying£16 for a 1.05!! ouch! Trainer said that they aeriate/aerovate sp so hoping that this rain will help too.

Taking Millbrook Song to do BSJA at Gracelands on Saturday(although she may well be driving with L plates on the lorry!)
Then on Sunday its scarily my first time in the "Control Box" at an event - Sapey unaffiliated (!!) never done that before - any tips anyone??

Supposed to be doing a little local hunter trials but bloomin' horse just lost a shoe today & farrier can't come out till next week ... so weekend scuppered. Little light schooling in a soft arena instead!
