Eventing again! 3 weekends on the trot but that’s good for Bog I think. Need to get some control back in the SJ before stepping up to 100.

Dressage lesson with Lizzie Murray this eve

Pic of him from last weekend! He got a 28 dressage despite a break in the canter getting a 4. I was very proud!

Can't wait for another event report @Michen ? he has a fan club on here.

Looking forward to a SJ report AE (idk why I can only tag one poster in my post...). I have to live vicariously through others at the moment.

Climbed aboard my noble steed for the first time in about 2 weeks. He had a heel abscess burst early last week (I "popped" it, one of the most satisfying moments in my life, tbh ?). We just did a half hour mainly walking with small bits of trot. Quite relaxed. Now I'm stuck at home supervising my recently spayed dog. Will try to sneak in a casual ride or two this weekend. So no plans, really.

Usual solo hacking tomorrow, escorting hacking chum on her new horse on Sat.
Was going to jump clinic Sunday but it's just been cancelled, so hacking chum who had already booked long indoor arena hire has invited me to join her for half hour.
I think I'll do that as we have a major fun run on staggered start times all across my local hacking. It's either ride and be back in yard by 7, or box out.

Good luck to those competing and whatever everyone is doing, hope you have a good time ?

First show in my new little box I’m super excited! And my first working hunter show with my new-ish (almost had him a year now!) boy.

Really looking forward to it especially now we’ve got rain so the ground will soften. Only doing a local pony club but I’m still looking forward to it, now I’ve found the passport I’ve been hunting for for weeks!

He's hacking out fab now, working well on the flat - he's got his canter transition really well now, no more squirting off. Jumping is a work in progress, so much scope but his brain doesn't work as fast as his legs sometimes ? he's quite nicely popping up to about 75cm showjumps though, hes not naturally very bold so it's just little and often

Love this horse. In the lead after phase 1 at sandringham so that’s every selection event dressage won. Not the best score and it’s a long marathon so we won’t maintain it come Saturday night but it is a 3 phase event and last two I’ve come from 3rd after day 2. Ground is firm and the carriage rolled faster than I expected but he still put in maximum effort.

Going to attempt to collect all three novice BD sheets to qualify for an area festival in one weekend on the 5yo. One test on Sat first thing in the morning (37A) and then two on Sun afternoon (23 and 37A) again. May or may not work - his novice test debut attempt went well at home the other week, so fingers crossed it can be maintained in a new arena to him. It's our nearest BD venue (less than 20 miles away) so at least we're not having to go too far. Did want to go to Aintree instead on Wednesday rather than do a double hit in a weekend, but for some reason, they're full and closed entries early!

Older horse will probably have a quick SJ school at home tomorrow - first jump since doing Houghton 3DE a month ago.

Nothing too exciting here due to a saddle issue which caused a very expensive trip to the vets, livid about it sooo, today trying more saddles to see if I can find one that is suitable, hopefully going for a hack. Tomorrow is grooming for a friend at Wix trying to get one last qualification for areas in the Freestyle, it's a late one as we are on at 6pm and we live a fair distance away. Then on Sunday I am having a non horsey day to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in London. Am super excited about this!

Next weekend if my saddle woes are fixed and Stormy is ok, we are headed off for a weekend camp at Ruth Hole's yard with her and Jill Day. Please keep everything crossed that we can do that!

A quiet weekend and week ahead for us as we completed our novice AF qualifications yesterday. I'm off to Hyde Park to see the Eagles plus others with a friend on Sunday, so hoping for it to be dry, but not too hot as there isn't much shade. Maddie had a body worker appointment this morning during which she almost fell asleep. The dentist appointment next week won't be quite so relaxing!! :rolleyes::D
Have a good time everybody whatever you are up to. :)

Well I ache in places I never knew existed!! Having not done any proper dressage in over 6 years, not ridden consistently for the last 3 years and not sat on a horse for 3 months, why on earth I thought 2 lessons a day was a good idea, god only knows ??

But what a super way to have a holiday. I was started off on an older but still very lovely chap, then had 2 lessons on a small grey fella who knew how to do everything but really tested you and highlighted your imperfections ? But worked my way up to sequence changes and a very collected trot/almost passage, in addition to the sideways stuff.

Then I finished off being allowed on a Ferrari and was beaming. Sequence changes up the centre line. In and out of piaffe. Such a forwards and sensitive horse yet so kind and generous.

Definitely going back next year!
