Went to Vale View on Saturday for the Eventer Trial (Intro 90cms), had a mixed day really.........
Arrived at just after 9am to lots of lorries in the lorry park, great looked like a long morning, walked both courses and wasn't too bad, couple of wide spreads off corners to short three stride to upright in the Sj section, the XC part looked great... Anyway warmed a rather wild Zara up, she kept leaping around and sticking her head between her front legs and bogging off with me
, wouldn't listen at all, so after a few rather wild pops I decided that best to get it over and done with. So in we went, first three fences she jumped lovely then gots it wrong to four, but she helped me out, five ok, six was the spread off the corner and yes we got it totally wrong, ended up flying at the upright and taking it off with out back legs, finished the rest of the Sj section ok, anyway on to the XC part, she was keen and the first fence was a nice inviting spread, but again she was bowling along a little to much and snatched her head a couple of stride out and hurdled it, taking the front rail out
, jumped round the rest of the course great, was really please with her, but also a little miffed that we had had two silly poles down, anyway we finished around 11th/12th out of 27 ish, so was still pleased with her, but have decided that next time we will move up a class (1mtr) and hopefully she might listen to me a little more, also going to have her teeth checked as she was sticking her tongue out alot..
........ Sorry it was so long. Thankies....
