With SOE cancelled we did an extended form of combined training.

We went to BD at Priory on Saturday to do AM85/AM92. Sadly no piccies/videos as all on my lonesome. We had a judge who actually used the range of marks and we managed to get 68.3% in AM85 and a whopping 70.14% in AM92. Our highest marks by a mile! He did me a fab line of five 3x changes in the warmup too. Counting down the weeks till our Advanced debut now.

Then Sunday we went to Coombelands to do the Disc and 1.05m. Disc is definitely starting to look smaller these days as when I arrived I actually questioned if they were still on the British Novice! The 1.05m was still plenty big enough in the 2nd phase though - I didn't get too close to them on the course walk - they look much better from on board! Had a lovely smooth round in the Disc - unlucky to just roll one of the smaller uprights on the course - he almost always has to find one to knock down - it's why I'm not a BS member! 1.05m I messed up the 2nd fence and he took that out in front but then jumped fab. He found another vertical to take down for 8 faults. Cleared all the massive ones in the 2nd phase though. From the pics he really doesn't look like he's struggling with the height. Might get brave enough to tackle a Newcomers one day!

You're both looking fab! He's such a one in a million - there can't be many horses out there capable of 70% at AM dressage, pinging around a 1.05 BS course and going to Badminton grassroots (is it three years in a row now?). Fingers crossed for dry weather!
