Morning all,
up early as exams yesterday were a bit of a B*$~@(d so been thinking about them since 6.30am!never mind last ones over 5 years so hopefully no more ever!

just wondering what riding routine you have during a normal week. I try to vary mine hacking say 3 days, schooling a couple and gridwork/jump another then a day off. Soon be a competing day aswell

i ride 5 or 6 times a week, hack about 2 times because the hacking is crap where i am, lesson once a week, then schooling 3 times a week. no jumping as yet as i want to get the flatwork sorted first, but i try to keep it interesting by using poles and cones in schooling sometimes xxxx

I hack once at the weekend as my daft horse is too neurotic to go on his own at the minute! During the week I lunge one day, have a flat lesson one day, and school the rest of the week - sometimes with poles.

I try not to school 2 days running.

Ideally, 2 school, 2 hack, 1 lunge, 1 compete per week.

Sadly, broke my wrist 5 weeks ago so a the moment horsey just getting schooled twice by my instructor and lunged twice by yard. I feel bad about him missing out on hacks, he deserves and enjoys a change of scene - plaster comes off in a couple of weeks so I'll make it up to him then.
