Edwina Alexander now for Aus

This should be good :)

Jumping out of their skin ATM, nicely over the first 4.

Into the treble, beautifully done. Round to the wall and flies it. Water jump is no prob, very committed 4 forward strdes to the upright, over the oxer and turn back.

Final line, huge jump over the first, double is no prob, flies the last

CLEAR!

Edwina now in 3rd so Robert is now 5th.

Jamie Guerra Piedra for Mexico now.

Big striding horse, jumping OK. Round to 4 all OK - kicks on for treble and clears all elements. Backs off the wall, knocks it, knocks upright after the water, all going a bit wrong now, water also called as hit - first in final line down, and second part of double.

20 faults

Another nice grey now, Alvaro Miranda on Ad AShleigh Drossel Dan

Looks like a lovely horse, jumping beautifully - used to be ridden by Laurie Lee and went to last Olympics (that's why it looks good!)

Scopey as hell, jumping everything beautifully ATM, turns back nicely and clear into final line...

Huge jump over the first, beautiful through the double, clears the last - clear with a broken wrist!

Cian O'Connor now K Club Lady

Clear over first - whoop! Horse has come from an Amateur in Spain earlier this year - she is scopey but not experienced apparently.

Looking very nice, bangs the last pole in the treble but clear. Comes round to the water, hesitates but clears it - forward 4 to upright but lovely. Nice over oxer and upright.

Final line -holding and holding, and gets the first :( Clear through the double, clear over last.

4 faults - a real shame.

Jasmin Chen on Quin Chen for Taipai

Nice so far over the first 4.

Treble, horse got away from her a tad but nicely done and clear. Flies the wall, smacks for the water and clears it and sees a long one for the vertical and clears it. Good over the oxer and the turn back - looking very classy!

Final line, forward through and beautifully done - gives him a smack to the last, too far away, he hangs a bit and gets back pole - such a shame, they looked great!

Oh I just assumed the competition was run over 2 rounds and the 7.30 coverage was the 2nd rounds. But obviously not as we've still Intertoy Z and Amai to go. Fingers crossed for them then. And thanks for the "coverage" there has been nothing on facebook unlike for the dressage and eventing so nice to know how its been going :-)

Here is the format...

Breakdown of the Jumping Rounds
Round 1: Speed Cup for Team/Individual - YESTERDAY
The first round is a little different, as it’s a speed competition also known as a Table C. Rather than going within the allotted time and incurring faults for having rails down, all rails are converted to seconds that are added to the competitors time. So, if a rider goes in 57 seconds but knocks a rail, they are given a final time of 1:01 (4 seconds added for each rail down). This means that a fast rider who has a rail could earn a better score than a horse who goes clear but has a slower time.

Round 2: Nations Cup Team/Individual - TODAY
Round 2 returns to the more traditional format, where riders must complete the round within an allotted time without incurring penalties – known as Table A.

Round 3: Nations Cup Team Final - TOMORROW
The top 10 teams will compete for medal placements using the Table A format. A jump-off will be included if there’s a tie.

Round 4: Individual - FRIDAY
The top 25 riders after the first two rounds will get to compete for the final individual qualifying round using the Table A format.

Round 5: Individual Final Four - SATURDAY
The final four ride off for the gold, silver, and bronze medals.

However I think it is the top 30, not 25 that go through (the above is taken from another website)
