I looked on the BBC schedule a while back and the day they had for televising was actually the closing of the show day of the WEG. A pageant thing I guess.
Seems a bit odd but it was a while ago so hopefully the scheduling has been re-done.

For advanced warning;
BBC Eventing coverage from WEG details are as follows so you can set your timers!
BBC Red Button: Saturday 2nd October - Cross Country from 2pm
Sunday 3rd October - Showjumping from 6pm
BBC 2: Highlights from the WEG 2010 at 1pm
Don;t know anything about any other discipline yet.
