Weighbridges?

Just wondering how much they cost? Also what happends if you get a ticket and it says your overweight? Also do you usually take everything out the lorry beforehand or leave in what you would usually carry and a person?

We took ours to the local tip, they usually have weigh bridges it cost us £10. We packed it as normal just minus the ponies!

We own an agricultural business so regularly have lorries & trailers in & out for loading. We are not allowed to let them leave the premises overweight - we would be fined as well as the driver if they were pulled over.

Not sure if the same would apply if you were just using as a public weighbridge.

Anyone? I doubt I am as horsebox back is made of aluminium but I still want to know.
