I could actually scream!
My mare is underweight, she's always been a yo-yo weight kind of pony.
She's getting a big handful of healthy hooves with oil in for her dinner, a large soaked haynet and she's out for 2 - 4 hours a day.
She was a good weight over the winter as I was giving her speedibeet but as soon as the grass started coming through it was too much for her and she started getting footy.
Everytime iturn around another feed/supplement is being pushed to the front as the " laminitis giving food of the month "
What is just basic and good for safe weight gain?
Eta - yes dengie do make healthy hooves and no she's not fat!!!!
