Is there anywhere that tells you a rough idea on how much a horse should weigh, according to its height/age? Ive just weighed my little 2 1/2yr old cob whos 13.2hh and weighs approx 240kgs. He is quite thin as we rescued him 3months ago, and hes just had a bad tooth pulled out that was stopping him from eating. He is eating better, but doesnt seem to be filling out?!
Thanks
Any help greatly appreciated

my pony is 13hh and should weigh roughly 300 - 340kgs but it depends on age and breeding too, with your pony being younger he'd prob way less as my boy is 5yrs old.

have a look on the feed websites - dengie, baileys, dodson and horrell, spillers etc and you should find info on there, you could also phone or email them about feed regimes and help with feeding/weight/condition etc, iv been talking to loads of them lately for help and most have been very good!

To be honest - I think the best way to judge correct weight is by what you can see. It takes a while for condition to pull up - and tooth was obviously root of the problem.
