Ive taken over Soxs care now as his owner was struggling with an old injury. Ive upped his feeds to 3 per day and hes turned out for 5 hours a day (restricted cuz of his leg injury and to make sure he eats his 2nd feed as he has a tendancy to be more interested in the grass) and have started walking him around the block just in a slow steady walk inhand to help stretch his leg and build his muscle slowly.
His bed for last night:
Ready for a walk around the block last night:
Weight wise - Some days he looks like he is putting the weight on, but other days he doesnt. He is on 3 feeds a day (7am, 2pm and 7pm) of fast fibre, alfa a molasses free chaff, pink powder senior, limestone flour and lami free. We will be adding micronized linseed to his feed from the weekend. He also has 2 large haynets at night and a big tub trub of fast fibre in addition to his 3rd feed.
Last night
The weekend
And from a few weeks ago
Has anyone got any other tips or advice?
