Weight limit for riding

DD1 looks like shes really taking everything in - and super news about your lesson - I lost 2 stone to ride again (RS had horses that took my weight then but being short I didnt want to ride their 18hh) that was well over two years ago - no more weight off but what I had is now mostly muscle thanks to getting back in the saddle and riding my own pony & walking up to the yard regularly.

That's brilliant news! And good luck for your lesson, hope your grin is as big :) Daughter looks like shes loving it. Natural seat is definitely good, from the picture she looks like shes sitting nice and straight (the ballet might have helped with that), most learners tend to sort of curl up.

Thanks :)

She has done ballet from age 4 till now (age 7) so she has learnt how to hold herself and move already which is good. We did ballet with her to help her balance as her eye sight has always been bad.

Its my husband birthday today but all i can think about is my lesson tomorrow :O

It's not just what you weigh but how you sit and your balance which is why maybe the riding schools have a lowish limit.

For example, I believe in MGA mounted games there are different limits according to your ability, the height and the build of your pony, so they have taken that into account.

Good luck!

Aw bless her! I hope you enjoy your lesson on Tuesday! Would love to hear how you get on, as I am in a similar situation as you - my 5 year old has been riding (she's not keen on trotting though lol) and would love for us to be able to do it together, as would I! :)
