When you say his weighs 450kg, is that his actual weight (i.e. weighed on a weigh bridge), or his approximate weight according to a weigh tape??? Weigh tapes aren't very accurate (especially for horses, more accurate for ponies). Perhaps try condition scoring him (I'll see if I can find you a link) or post some pics side on and bum view for peeps on her to give you their opinion.

as piebaldsparkle said weight tape are not very accurate if you post some picture it would be easier to tell

My mare is 16hh IDxTB (she's big and chunky) and on weigh tape she weighs about 550 and to me she looks fat (she is on a diet). I'd say that because your TB is fine and full TB he shouldn't way as much as 550. obviously cant say without seeing photos but if you think he's got a good coverage then i'd say he's ok. as he's fine he perhaps shouldnt hold alot of weight and the breed wasnt designed to be too heavy.

I would go by his condition personally. According to the weight tape my rather dainty little 15.2 TB was dramatically over what she should be when to me she was a good weight, not fat, not thin, couldn't see her ribs but could feel them without searching for them. (If you see what I mean) So I ignored the weight tape
